ts1227Last I saw was 68-13, is this final?
EDIT: It's a final, according to FOX 8 -
katz#57Well my prediction ended up being the halftime score 42-13. Good job Red on to Mooney

I Am AhabSatifying game. The best part was IC hot start. I know Samantha was giving it to us on the Big Red side. I wouldve loved to have heard his mouth when Creek scored to open things. Only to have the life sucked out of him eventually.
That said, Creek played about as good a game as they couldve. Big Red was just too strong, too physical, too well conditioned. The D did bend a little more than I thought Creek could make them, but alas they did not break. IC got outcoached. I knew the Red would likely fake the punt in the first. Watching SHS quite a bit over the past few seasons, it's something I've seen em do often in that part of the field. The thing is I thought Creek would see it coming. That hurt em. Big Red didn't want to give the ball up there. IC really shouldve made sure they were ready for that. The onside kick was
Pretty obvious given the situation. What did SHS have to lose. They were kicking from the 40. Why not onsides it? When they came out in that formation IC shouldve been alert. In fact they shouldve been alerted by the staff when they went on the field, knowing the ball would be on the 40.
IC has a good team. Some good athletes. Young was very impressive. Kemp also. Big Red was just too strong and too seasoned. Creek did move the ball more than I expected. Big Red just came up with stops in big spots and Creek really didn't have a lot of rythm IMO. And Big Red was able to run at will.
Good game Creek. Good game Big Red. SOS do redskin nation a favor and zip it until August. -
finster4307The Red rolled....no surprise there. Time for the U of M! Looking forward to it. UofM is the measuring stick in this region IMO. Dangerous team and playing well. THIS will be a great game.

BigYtownRedAgree with ya Finster. I was impressed with the way IC came out & then when they went down two scores they marched down a second time. But as stated above too much Big Red for too long. Hopefully this will be a stepping stone for IC's program.
IC's band was very impressive, props to their band director Donny Lewellen (fellow BR alum from 86').
IC QB did a great job when he had the time & with some pressure but eventually we got to him which pretty much shut them down.
Liked what I saw overall from the Red but those penalties will not work next week against Mooney that could be our downfall. Those kind of mistakes are things great teams take advantage of, anyhow.
RRR onto Mooney -
MANAZESucks we lost tonight but Creek is showing great promise! Great game played by Big Red and hopefully we can meet again in the future.
GO CREEK! -
vball10setFuck Big Red...GO MOONEY!!!!
-
cannoli137Good job this season, but losing Furda hurt Creek & their passing game! Creek did have some of the younger WR step up & the future looks bright for Creek.

swooshIf only we hadnt of lost Mike Furda..........

ManO'WarYea, like he was going to make up 60 points.

swoosh@ ManO'War, Did you see him putting points up vs. your defense before he got injured? He was also a BIG reason we were gettin in the backfield on your 3 and out. May have been a respectful game for Creek if he had stayed healthy. You also let us score more points than you let Massilon did vs. you guys in 1 DRIVE [the first one]. I think it wouldve gone like this:
Indian Creek: 24
Steubenville: 20
Just sayin -
swoosh@ MonO'War, He would of kept the game close. he was an amazing athlete on both sides of the ball. When we lost him, we lost some
firepower and determination on both sides of the ball. If he hadnt dislocated his knee, it MAY have been a little closer -
war_admiralCreek had a GREAT year. Congrats. But having Furda would not have kept the game a little closer. That should ease the pain a bit. Knowing that either way we would have got the points. Creek changed some things up on offense and the defense, as they should. Once big red adjusted to it....that was all she wrote.
RRR -
I Am AhabI respectfully disagree with Furda being the difference in IC winning or losing vs Big Red. The Red would have wore him down and broke him like the rest of the IC defense. Creek just didn't have the size, stamina to keep up with SHS.
Creek has a solid team though. Credit them for never giving up no matter how far behind they got behind. Kudos. -
RedBlackAttackCreek definitely did well for themselves, despite the score. They even had me momentarily worried in the first quarter while listening on the radio. Congrats on a nice year.

24-20, you have to be joking. One player would not make that much of a difference in the final score, Reno was playing reserves and freshmen against Creeks varsity and still moving the ball. Creek had a good year for their program but there is no way the game would have been any closer with Furda on the field, so if creek would have scored another touchdown during the game Big red could have scored 3 or 4 more if the varsity stayed in the game and Reno didn't hold them back. The key to any successful program is the coaching staff and the players that can adjust to the situation, either you have it or you don't. Your comment about getting in the backfield during the 3 and out, how many 3 and out did Big Red have? How many sacks did the Creek defense have?IchsCreekPRIDE;959294 wrote:@ ManO'War, Did you see him putting points up vs. your defense before he got injured? MANAZE
it's changed.I Am Ahab;951129 wrote:I'll take that bet. Be a man and put something real up to lose though. Are you confident or just virtually confident.
I just want to throw in my two cents about losing Furda. It might have made the difference it might not have we'll never know thats football. However Connor didn't help either when everyone in the stands knew it was a onside kick and then getting the delay of game pentaly didn't help either. The refs blew some calls on both sides and were not one way or the other.
On a side note I talked to a coach from Harrison Central after the game and he said they did the onside kick to Creek and it worked so that is something Creek needs to work on next year.
I for one would also like to see Coach Connor onside kick it every time like a lot of coaches are starting to do. If you lose it they get the ball around the 35, average is around the 25 anyway and it gives you a chance to get the ball back.
Also what was up with the no huddle slow offense. Next year they need to improve on speeding up the plays. How do you waste over 30 seconds with less then a minute to go?
Overall though I think Connor did a great job this year and has shown that Creek can be a winner and that this season will be a stepping stone to what Creek football should be, however the heat is on now and we have to go up from here each season. This season it was make the playoffs next season it has to be win in the playoffs.
GO CREEK! -
finster4307IC loses big...with or without injuries.
