Any fans of Region 19 teams on the OC?
-
slcoachI know this board is mainly a northern Ohio place, but I was wondering if there are any fans from this region on here. In particular, fans from Hillsdale or Crestview. There are some big games in this region in week 10 and just thought maybe I could get some text updates from some of these games.
-
Mr. RussellI am from Smithville and there are many Hillsdale fans on here. I also am on SouthEast Preps, I received texts last week from the Wheelersburg game and hope to do so this week. I can't text during the games but I am sure somebody from here will be able to help you out.

slcoachThis is great guys. Thanks a lot. I sent you a PM Go Falcons.
This region looks loaded. I don't know how any of them would fair against LCC or Coldwater, but the Regional champ should be well prepared. I think that this region has better teams than the past few years. -
oldsmithieThis region has changed alot this year!!, it has a WIDE range and will cause some long road trips in the first round. I think this region is up for grabs, there are some very good teams in the top 8.

Mr. RussellSlcoach where do your allegiances lie? Are you a fan of any of the bubble teams?
-
Go FalconsIf Hillsdale can get in, I like our chances in this region. We come from region 18 which is a meat grinder. There is a lot of good teams in 19 but none that I don't want to see my team play, I think we can compete with any of them.

It is interesting to note that Smithville and Hillsdale are 8th & 9th in region 18 and on the bubble, while their point totals in region 18 would place them 5th and 6th in region 18.Go Falcons;943507 wrote:If Hillsdale can get in, I like our chances in this region. Nope. My team is Valley and we have clinched. We have basically wrapped up a home game as well.Mr. Russell;943497 wrote:Slcoach where do your allegiances lie? Are you a fan of any of the bubble teams?
I know someone mentioned southeasternohiopreps and I post on there quite a bit. A good bunch of Region 19 teams are represented on there. I am not sure if I am aloud to post a link to that site, but here is my projection for the region after this week.... I think your Smithies need some help
1. Nelsonville 24.65
2. Wynford 23.55
3. Valley 23.15
4. West 19.55
5. Hillsdale 19.40
6. Crestview 18.65
7. Ridgewood 17.45
8. Liberty Union 17.15
9. Grandview Hts 16.02
10. Smithville 15.60
11. Centerburg 14.76
12. Wheelersburg 12.55 -
Mr. RussellYes sir, Hillsdale/Liberty Union/Wheelersburg losing should get us in. That's a lot to ask for, but also very possible. As someone who has played both teams, what is your take on the West/Wheelersburg game?
-
slcoach
I feel like West is the more talented team. Valley beat Wheelersburg for the first time since 1964 the other night and got a huge monkey off their backs. We won the game by 12 but a play here or there and it would have been worse. West is a big physical team that should give the undersized Burg fits. But the game is at Burg so that is a big advantage there.Mr. Russell;943542 wrote:Yes sir, Hillsdale/Liberty Union/Wheelersburg losing should get us in. I say West wins by 2 tds. I defiantly think you will have a tougher time with the other two than this one. -
Mr. RussellWhat do you know about the Heights/Union game?
-
slcoach
I honestly do not know much about either team. Union absolutely put it to West Jeff last week and that looks like a great win. Maybe West Jeff was missing some players or something, I don't know. I know that Heights beat that same West Jeff team earlier in the year by 3 or so. I know its hard to compare scores, but based on last week, it looks like LU is peaking. There only loss is to AC and everyone know what type of program the Aces have.Mr. Russell;943738 wrote:What do you know about the Heights/Union game? -
Mr. RussellI know it is Heights' last home game and it is for a league title I believe. Seniors should be fired up for that one.
-
slcoachGetting closer to figuring out week 11. With the updates everyone is going to get, everybody should have a good idea where they will be when they leave the fields Friday night.
