I was wondering what that was all about.

Anyone know what happened after the game when the coaches met? I heard Dennison pushed Ifft and the police had to go out and separate them.

Dennison ran after the refs right after the game. Ifft went out to shake his hand and just stood there waiting for him to finish yelling at the ref. When Dennison did finally shake hands he was yelling at Ifft about to poor officiating which was poor but for both sides. Ifft made a "clam down" sign to Dennison and he continued to yell. Things continued to be heated and coaches from both sides began to gather in the middle of the field. Dennison continued his tantrum and Ifft was visible upset. The police came out but nothing really happened. I assume Dennison realized that going for two was the wrong thing to do and was upset with his decision. There were several bad calls but they went both ways. It was a good effort by Phila and perhaps coming up short again has Dennison at his wits end.

I knew there was bad blood between the two when Dennison coached Claymont. Dennison stopped the team bus when they played at Dover and went into Dover's lockerroom and argued with Ifft over something that happened during the game.

    Coach Fool was just that.

The NP players took it like men and lined up to shake hands with the Tornadoes. Perhaps they could teach Dennison and thing or two about sportsmanship...nah, he'll never here of it! Mixed feeling about their playoff appearance - is it possible for the team to win but the coach to lose?

At half time it looked like Phila was going to end with more xylophones than points!

When you had the all the momentum in the second half and have a strong defense like Phila, why would you go for 2 instead of the tie? If you didn't think your defense could stop Dover when you're tied, why would Dennison think his defense could stop Dover with a 1 point lead? Kick the EP and take your chances in OT. Pretty stupid call to me.

Joe Eitel has Sheridan coming to Dover, and New Phila. will head to Tallmadge.

If they get it he's a hero, but yes, I agree with you 100%.

Back in the day 60's and 70's before the playoff era. This was the typical Dover Phila game. It was a "pride" thing. Dover by a hair. Emotion got the best of Phila's coach. I actually like him more now then ever. Football is a emotional game. But, yes kick the extra point.

I have no problem with the call to go for the 2pt. It is the old "play for the win on the road, play for the tie at home" theory. I think Dover is the better team, so you have to take some chances to pull the upset.
