St. Thomas Aquinas @ Canal Fulton Northwest (6-2) (Game moved to STA)
-
NWIndianNation01Northwest playoff chances are on the line each of the last two weeks. We have to win both games to have any chance.
If divisions are considered, NW should dominate this game.
1. Big Red- Will win out
2. Dover - Will most likely win out unless NP can somehow beat them
3. Mooney - Will win out
4. Minerva - Will win out
5. Sheridan - Could go 0-2 as they have 2 tough teams. But if win will get a lot of points.
6. NW - Should win out
7. Poland - Will probably go 1-1...but who knows (play Canfield wk 10)
8. Indian Creek - Could go 1-1...but possibly 2-0
9. Granville - Will win out (against D5/4 teams)
10. Marlington - Will win out
12. Licking Valley -could sneek up
14. Cambridge-could sneek up -
fpfpdadchhSt. Thomas will not be a pushover by any means. They always play hard and they have looked better since the beginning of the year.
-
skiisme753Have to win out and hope the teams behind us don't.....almost no second level points for NW.....if Canfield beats Poland it will help
-
oh yeah!!orrville game is really killen the indians right now....

Poland loss hurts even worse since 1 play was the difference and they are in NW's region...oh yeah!!;935087 wrote:orrville game is really killen the indians right now.... -

Definitely some fight left in St. Thomas. They only lost to Minerva by 3 points in week 2 and with a win today they have rebounded from a 0-3 start with 5 consecutive wins and can make the playoffs if they win out (not likely with NW and Central left on the schedule)fpfpdadchh;934234 wrote:St. Thomas will not be a pushover by any means. oh yeah!!yes poland def bad loss, indians will be fine if they win out
-
Lockup ScreenNorthwest will win out and make the playoffs. Hopefully we don't get Mooney or the Ville the first round
-
Brutusdont matter who we get in the 1st round. we can play with anyone , this region is loaded and wont matter who we play. we need to bring our a game or season will be over. any team in region 11 is capable of winning.

NWIndianNation01Everybody should check out the Two Minute Drill on Friday Night Ohio. They have a video on the NW-St. Thomas game.
Is it just me, or did it seem a bit one sided...doesn't make a lot of sense...oh well.
Field is gonna be a MESS on Friday. Hopefully Vic can get the boys ready for another Mud Bowl and figure out how to get to the outside for a tackle...because it could be a long night if they do the same thing that Poland did...
Finish hard boys and get ready for the Mud Bowl!
GO INDIANS!!! -

ajwahoo2k2Got an e-mail that the game has been moved to St. Thomas. The NW field is under water. Have not got confirmation from the school as of yet. But we all know what our boys do on turf!

Drums of War
Also just got confirmation from the school via text. Can't find a negative here. Not that long of a ride, and we get to see the boys fly around again this week. I also enjoy going to see schools I have never been to for a game. I am looking foward to tomorrow night.ajwahoo2k2;939697 wrote:Got an e-mail that the game has been moved to St. Thomas. ajwahoo2k2Only downside is seating. Never been there. Why not play in Tigertown?
-
Drums of WarMore than likely just trading here for there next year. I was just looking at the "stadium" on Bing, and it does look a bit small. But then again, we can just stand 100 guys around the fence.
-
NWIndianNation01Is the stadium behind the school?

skiisme753Half hour plus drive vs. 5 minutes, but the field has sucked all year and turf is nice. With the weather I wouldn't have expected a big crowd anyways even if its home so probably not much lost in ticket sales. What about the concession stands? Guessing St. Thomas get the money from that. It's not a swap according to fridaynightohio The game will remain a Northwest home game, with it receiving the gate, and its staff taking tickets and handling the programs.
If its underwater and unplayable it will likely be next week as well so might be on the road again -
skiisme753As for the game it can't get much better than two teams jockeying for a spot in the playoffs late in the season.

No one to run the stadium with everyone at the Stupidville game. Only real away game for Massillon this year.....Infocision and Fawcett are not much of away gamesajwahoo2k2;939783 wrote:Only downside is seating. Never been there. Why not play in Tigertown? -
NWIndianNation01If it isn't a swap, then do we get to sit on the homeside?
-
SonofanumpI hope Northwest gets homered by the "refs' since they are the away school. They have the least knowledgeable fans in the state.
-
LocoEngineer66I have personally been to STA quite a few times ... HUGE suggestion for Northwest fans ... get there way early if ya want to sit ... visitor side seats about 200

So the band will take up half the bleachers.......LOLLocoEngineer66;940580 wrote:I have personally been to STA quite a few times ... HUGE suggestion for Northwest fans ... get there way early if ya want to sit ... visitor side seats about 200
It's a D5 school so I guess you can't really expect much in the way of seating. It can't be worse than the idiots at the OHSAA for putting a second round playoff game at D5 Newcomerstown against Sheridan in 03 where there was nowhere to sit and then the next year they put the regional final against Sheridan there initially until enough people complained that they moved it to Mansfield.
