three years in a row?

What are Salem's chances in making history again this year and going to the playoffs three years in a row?

Region 11 is loaded... they're sitting freaking 16th at 4-2.

It's win out or miss the playoffs at this point. Considering we have Minerva and Louisville left, we need a ton of help.

Probably have to go at least 7-3 with wins over Louisville and Minerva. Those L2's are killing Salem right now, and it doesn't look like they're going to get many more from the teams they've beaten so far.

TS1227, just noticed your post.....Agree, Region 11 is pretty interesting.

unfortunately there isn't much of a chance...the interesting topic is what would of their record been if they stayed in the AAC this year. Assuming they would of kept the same schedule in 2011 as they played in 2010 they could of probably won 8 games with losses to Labrae and maybe Hubbard. NBC has and will continue to hurt their football program

But would the computer points have been there regardless? Struthers and Hubbard at 4-2 would have been decent points getters if they won them, Lakeview has 2 wins and Liberty 0. In addition, you would have most likely had the same 2 games in there as before with Beaver Local (1 win) and E. Liverpool (0 wins).

The AAC schedule generated more wins, but with the strength of the region this year, they would have missed either way. I'm not saying they should have or should not have went NBC, but in terms of playoffs, it probably wouldn't have mattered (too many losses one way, too few points the other).

Had they beaten Labrae (on the scoreboard, not in the stats) there might have been an outside chance...providing they win out the rest of their schedule. It looks very difficult now.

If I have to hear one more time how they won in the stats I am going to scream. They racked up 80 yards against the JV's GoPens...I know you know this because I am positive you were there. Take 80 off of whatever their total was and they didn't do anything. Salem had one drive the whole game and that was in the first quarter.

Hopefully then can win a few down the stretch and stay above .500 to keep the momentum moving in the right direction...looks like there are going to be some very lean years in the near future.

While I do agree with you to a point, the fact is that Salem did just as much to lose that game as Labrae did to win it. (3 turnovers, and not finishing drives deep in Labrae territory)

Regardless, the only thing that matters is that it was a loss and I fear that even on the long shot chance that Salem does win out, this loss will come back to bite them as far as the playoffs go. The region is even more loaded this year than the past 2 years.
