I thought Id see some great stuff but I was so bored .. I saw Colerain vs Cocoa Florida a few weeks ago and it was a better game to watch .
Both of these teams Colerain and Middletown looked like they were running a 1950's style Oaklahoma offense... No 2 minute offense .. The amount of talent that these teams had was so much stronger than the offensive scheming .. It was hard to watch ... I cant believe these programs are still in the stone ages with the play calling .. Colerain is a national power because they are just huge and have very good runners ,but talk about bland .. No wonder those catholic schools beat them most of the time when it counts ,and Middletown ran the same offense.. I thought I was watching an old black and white movie .. and when they were down in the 4th they had no 2 minute offense .. The QB was behind center doing play action pass with two handoff fakes and running for his life .. His skill gave him a 1 st down or two but its just hard for me to understand why these teams are so behind the times ..I guess I am spoiled up here in Steubenville . our offensive play calling is 100 years ahead of those teams .. i wish we had the size of Colerain and had #39 of Middletown running for us ..Talk about watching paint dry .. That would have been more fun to watch than those two playing .. I was disappointed
