thePITmanMy thoughts:
- Hahahaha! Orrville not in the top 10 in Division IV? Hahahaha! You'd think the voters would have learned from the last 2 seasons when Orrville and Genoa met in the playoffs.
- I think Norwayne will creep up and finish in the top 10 in DIV. Week 10 will be their biggest test.
- DIII is loaded this year!
-
wes_mantoothDidn't realize Malvern was supposed to be THAT good....nice

If you notice though, we did get 3 first place votes and thats more than 8 of the top 10 teams...so some respect was given I guess, but we are used to it and we like it that way.thePITman;894716 wrote:My thoughts:- Hahahaha! The AP poll has and always will be a JOKE!!! -

Agreed with both your 1st and 2nd statements. But had it not been for those 3 votes, you might not be listed AT ALL! Good luck the rest of the year, and represent yourselves and our area well.Old Rider;894734 wrote:If you notice though, we did get 3 first place votes and thats more than 8 of the top 10 teams...so some respect was given I guess, but we are used to it and we like it that way.

I think we made the list simply from last years playoff run. I was suprised we even got mentioned!thePITman;894769 wrote:Agreed with both your 1st and 2nd statements. ThinthickbigredThem polls dont mean crap and Ursulin is 0-3 and should be in the top 3 St Clairsville is a top 5 team
-
ThinthickbigredHow is Mooney not #1 are you kidding me .... they just played toe to toe with the #4 team in the USA and there line is bigger than Kent states .. just put that big marker on Big Red early sigh
-
OQBThese polls are useless...what are they for anyway because they don't determine the playoffs.
-
riders1It helps teams get "paper " championships

AppleI highly doubt the teams ranked above Mooney could have played the Mooney schedule and had the same results that the Cards have had. I follow Kettering Alter and my bet is that the Knights would be pretty beat up right now if they played that gauntlet.
-
OhioThe Mooney MLC will be a huge jump in rankings for the winner. If Mooney wins i can see them moving into the top 2. Then next week the Big Red have a huge game with Ursuline.
-
NWIndianNation01Agreed...JUNK!
-
AppleBig Red had a great record against teams from Ohio last year.

Alter can handle itself too but Mooney is aD-1 juggernaut that will probably win D-3 this year no problem ...They are too deepApple;894974 wrote:I highly doubt the teams ranked above Mooney could have played the Mooney schedule and had the same results that the Cards have had. ThinthickbigredAlter has a free pass to the semis ...
-
aged jockWhoa, there, Thin. Alder and Shawnee are free passes? Maybe Mooney is all that, and I keep hearing about Marlington being huge, but SW Ohio in any region isn't a free pass. That said, I do expect Alter to get another shot at Steubenville, or maybe have a go at Mooney or Marlington. There are a lot of games to play before we get ahead of ourselves. Alter hctually has three guys 160 and under starting this year, and several sophomores. Of course one of them benched 300 in the liftathon. But we must not have done our best recruiting, since Mooney and Marlington are so much bigger and better!
Best of luck to Big Red this year, as always, BTW.
