Carrollton 1-1 @ Claymont 2-0
-
Mrs.MustangThe Mustangs have a chance to go 3-0 for the first time in a while. The Warriors bounced back from the Dover loss with a win over EL.If Claymonts passing game is clicking this could be over early.Carrollton could keep it close with ball-control.Turnovers again will probably make a huge Impact on the outcome.Mustangs have got to fix the penalties,12 last week at I.V.Claymonts first home game,so they should be fired up.Most fans I've seen for a while last week at Midvale.

J-DoverGood luck Mustangs, keep airing it out!! Carrollton will fold like a dollar general lawn chair. Keep improving week after week.
-
just_a_swimmerI think Claymont wins this one as well. Their home and flying high playing well. Should be a good game. Maybe not though Claymont might be that good.

LocoEngineer66What makes Claymont so much better than last year??? I know Carrollton lost a lot to graduation but we were 4-6 last year and beat Claymont 49-14. Not being a smartass ... just curious.

WooballThis is the 2nd year for Claymont's coach, so the players now could have bought into what the coaching staff wants them to do. They have a senior QB who is a 4 year starter and seems to be having a great start to the season. I believe this team has matured and developed from last year. The 'stangs pounded 2 teams that they have struggled w/ in the past, so it appears that they are a much improved ball club.
I was surprised by the Carrollton win over East Liverpool. Wasn't EL a playoff team last year w/ their QB returning? Were there huge improvements from the Warriors from week 1? -

Yeh some major improvements from week 1 for Carrollton, esp on defense but we weren't playing Dover either. I was just curious about Claymont. EL was 8-2 last year but lost some linemen from what I have heard. And their QB blew out his knee in the second half against us.Wooball;884797 wrote:This is the 2nd year for Claymont's coach, so the players now could have bought into what the coaching staff wants them to do. ECOLaceIt's really a change in attitude and much better play overall on defense and up front on both sides of the ball. This is still a young team but theyve got a mental edge that haven't had since that good 2007 year. But as much as I want the mustangs to win, I wouldn't be surprised if the warriors win. They seem to always have the Mustangs number, but I think that might change this year.

Claymont was 2-8 last year and hardly lost anything from graduation, that's what makes them better.LocoEngineer66;884738 wrote:What makes Claymont so much better than last year???
