A Reminder about Language on the High School Forums

  As we get into the season, we have unfortunately seen a marked increase in bad language being used on the high school forums, specifically football. Therefore, we would like to remind everyone that there is NO SWEARING in the high school forums.
  
  We understand that many of you post in Serious Business, CFB, Pro Sports, etc. where you can basically say whatever you want, and sometimes forget when you bounce over to HS FB. But some of it is obviously more egregious.
  
  Here's a basic breakdown:
  1. If you can't hear it in primetime TV, don't use it. Stuff like "hell" or "damn" we are willing to let slide, unless you're using it every other word. Basically everything else is off limits (THIS INCLUDES "ASS").
  2. Creative spelling (spelling the F word with a ph at the beginning instead because it sounds the same, using ! or @ to replace i's and a's in swear words, using asterisks, etc.) is also prohibited. It still conveys the same thing.
  3. If you use profanity, your post will be edited to something less profane if it's just one word, or unapproved (made so only mods can see it and not other posters) if the thing is beyond editing. So, if you get a PM saying something was edited or unapproved, that's why.
  4. If it's something minor you will most likely be issued a warning, just so you realize you did it. If it continues, infractions are issued. Be aware that the system will automatically ban you for too many infractions, and infractions do not expire (they never disappear from your record).

  it does happen sometimes when you bounce from serious to high school I have done it

  Edited to specifically point put that you cannot say a certain 3 letter word that begins with A, that people still keep using.

  I have a question about point #4 on the above mentioned rules. If after you recieve a fourth infraction you are suspended for a week, and infractions don't expire, what happens the next time you recieve an infraction? Seems a little confusing to me.
