    from fridaynightohio.com article
Massillon was hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when a full bottle of blue PowerAde made its way to the 50 near players and an official.
Shades of the 2000 playoff game against Marion Harding? Did anyone rush the field to threaten a referee this time?

Anyone there??? Was the inadvertant whistle on the fumble late in the 4th legit? Whats the story? If not for that, Massillon takes over near midfield with abou 1:39 to play....

On another note...Massillon had plenty of opportunity to light up the scoreboard as the only had about 1 play from scrimmage on their own side of the 50 the whole 1st half...have to capitalize.

It was an a legit inadvertant whistle which stopped the play and the fumble, replay the down. Fans were loudly booing , several threw bottles onto the field, one was close, but behind the head referee at midfield, the others were barely on and all were grabbed quickly. Hall was way onto the field beyond midway trying to talk to the officials and talked his way into a flag after a long drawn out officials meeting and kept it up all the way to the sidelines. The officials had a police escort off the field and were booed the whole time.

Tigers had chances all night and as I told my friend I was sitting with in the 1st qtr., they had to take the points and kick a field goal early because this was the type of game that points were going to be hard to get. They went for it on fourth and were stopped and then later tried a field goal but mishandled the ball, so right there were 3 to 6 points they missed getting. Glenoak insisted on running all night long and even on passing downs ran. Very enjoyable game :)

No, but a few years ago, two of em were, about to get their...."butts" kick because they were acting like total morons.

Last year, several morons were accusing officials of bad calls simply due to the color of their skin.

I don't know how many times I almost got into a fight with racist Buchtel fans.

I hope not, forget the inadvertant whistle play, on 4 occasions (at least) 12 players broke the huddle, on two others, GlenOak players were hitting after the whistle, (right in front of a ref). at least one, (uncalled) obvious block in the back.

With all that said, Not blaming the refs, but I'd prefer to have a game called fairly.

Congrats GlenOak, your kids fought hard and didn't quit despite being down 11 in the 4th. You deserved the victory hope to see ya again in November.

Funny, it was kind of a reversal of last year, last year Dunn ran all over us for the first 3 quarters, then in the 4th, we contained him, this year we contained him for 3 quarters, then in the 4th he ran all over us.

Last year, we came back in the 4th, this year you did.

Last year, we win by one

This year, you win by one.

Looks like we're going to have to renew the contract.

I didn't hear a whistle, (not saying there wasn't one), but I didn't hear it. On the home page of Massillon proud, there is a clear picture of the play, both knees are up and the ball is out.

Ironically, in the picture, we have one player being held, and another being blocked in the back.

Dover has already reached the status of Massillon, with our ZERO state titles won on the field and many won on paper. Here is a little of our history, not quite Massillon or McKinley but not too bad....

Dover ranks 9th all time in football victories with 633 victories in the state of Ohio the winning percentage of over 65% also ranks 9th among the top 11 teams.

    73 winning seasons
    41 state ranked teams
28 unbeaten or one loss teams
    22 league titles
    24 playoff games

current coach Dan Ifft is the winningest in school history with 141 wins against 39 losses

12 seasons with 8 or more wins
11 conference titles including the last 4
    2 unbeaten regular seasons 2003 and 1999

BTW...great game by Glenoak. One Stark "status" team down one to go. Good thing you don't Marlington too this year, that would be 0-2 versus DIII teams.

I didn't ask for A history lesson and where sure glen oak beat Massillon and sure they could beat McKinley that's one year out of how many? Like i said when you reach the status of our schools come talk to us not get close or even fall way short.... Maybe you should focus on Canfield and not the D-1 schools

Wow, great history....It makes it that much more surprising that several years ago, we beat you 34-0, with our starters sitting midway through the third qt....Which may or may not be the reason you guys cancelled the second year of the contract.

Hike the skirts up, give us a call on that second year, and we'll consider not laughing at ya everytime someone mentions the name Dover in the same breathe as Massillon.

I quit making YOU look like an idiot when I realized you were doing just fine all on your own.
