THE4RINGZWell if you have spend any time around the team this year, you know what they are saying? Prove the wrong. Another example of it in today's DR.

West Holmes led 13-7 at halftime. I think it was West Holmes' first play from scrimmage (first play of game, actually) that saw Mackey go 70 yards for a TD. The rest of the 1st half, West Holmes had 19 offensive plays for 12 yards. Their other score came from a 40yd interception return. In the 2nd half, West Holmes' running game was effective. They went 0-for-6 passing for the game. We just couldn't get any kind of rhythm and when we seemed to threaten to take it to a 1-possession game in the 4th quarter, we got held on 4 downs inside the opponent's 5 yard line and couldn't get in the end zone to make it interesting.5knots;874853 wrote:can someone reap the game for us?
West Holmes did what they needed to win. We will regroup and give it all we have next week against Orrville! -

beatobamaWell played game??? One of the ugliest I haved seen in a while. Will be a very long year for people in Titan Land if they peform in that fashion this season. WH made a couple plays, but were out of sinc most of evening as well. Orrville will name their score next week against Triway. WH looked better defensively, but I think that was from a big assistant from Triway playing so poorly. When Triway did have an opening for a big play, they missed. Good luck to both teams, but from that performance both squads may be in for rough seasons.
-
THE4RINGZTriway slow start. Never got out of the blocks, but another week of practice can turn the corner.
Other than the two big plays tonight it was a snooze fest. A battle of punters and field position. -
Mr. 300The Knights simply shut down the receivers for Triway. Drake had a little success early running the ball, but a coverage adjustment stopped that. We had help over the top on Kearney's side and took him out of the game as well. The D line got good pressure in the second half on Drake, and he was never able to get comfortable in the pocket.
WH got some huge plays from sophomores Perone and Arnold on defense, and overall dominated the game at times. The WH O-line had major blunders, which this morning's film session will reveal. Those problems can be addressed heading into Riverview game Friday.
Huge crowd on hand last night too. Glad the purple haze had to make the shorty drive back home thinking about a loss!!
Ringz, I told you this was a different Knights team, but so are the Titans. Wish I could catch the WH jv team smack up the Titans, but the youngest has a double header today. Go Knights!! -
Mr. 300

beatobamaI agree WH did shut down Triways "O", but their "O" is nothing like WH will see in th OCC this season. Ashland score really shocked me last night. Good luck to the Knights and I hope to see continued improvement over past performances. Hard to measure that game because the Titans did not look very impressive.

Mr. 300Knights JV finishes the weekend in style with a 27-2 pounding of the Titans.
