aged jockWhat percentage of Catholic schools' seniors will graduate this year? Public? What percentage of Catholic schools seniors will go to college? Public? I've heard the Catholic students want it more, work harder and are more motivated. I guess that's just prejudiced, but it appears to be true, year after year. Sports follow that same pattern (except in softball).

Mortgagestar1Growing up in the 1970's there was a joke. Where do Catholic athletes go after high school? Penn State.
Where do public school athletes go after high school? State Penn. Heard this in Steubenville for over 40 years. I graduated from a public school btw. -

Love all you publics out there will be at all the championship games that have atleast one public in it and be rooting for you .. My sincere hope is that i am wrong and the publics win all 6 Ill be hoping for that 4 sure .. Then all this talk will go away . But when 5% of the schools win 76% of the championships ..well you know -
CardsFlyinHighI'll say Privates 4-2. They have a very good chance in D1 and 3 (Not picking one school in particular, just think the top of those divisions is loaded towards parochials. St. Ed's Iggy, St. X, Elder, Moeller in D1, Mooney, Columbus schools, Alter, St. V in D3. Ursuline is heavy favorite in D5. I think D2 can go to publics. Not seeing a heavy catholic influence at the top. D4 and D6 i think are equal with both having strong teams at the top. So I'll say they split those Divisions.

Every single student in every single school is recruited to that school. In some schools it's easy, because they're free (and attendance is mandatory). Others have to work at it, because you have to pay to go there.
"The best of the best", huh? So what you're really saying is that only public schools should be permitted to exist. Otherwise, it's just not fair. Because other schools (including Catholic schools), who have to recruit students harder because the schools aren't free, find the best of the best. And that's not fair. And some of those students actually develop into pretty good athletes because they're disciplined, motivated and well coached. And that's not fair. And they tend to win a disproportionate number of championships because they choose a school that demands more of them. And that's not fair. And they tend to do well in life. And that's not fair. Some people actually earn enough money to give themselves a choice where their kids are going to be educated because they do more than what average people do for others, and they scrape the funds together to send their kids to schools where they have to pay. And that's not fair.
Comrade Skank, welcome to the Union of Socialist States of America. Why don't we all just share the misery, keep the inner city kids in underperforming schools because it's "fair", and award everyone a state championship trophy. That way it's "fair". And everybody accomplishes the same thing - nothing. Starvation and suffering are widespread, and personal initiative are totally gone. But it's "fair". You have a loser attitude, Comrade. You need to change your ****ty outlook on life.
