I'm worried more about the new league and the new Region 11 (both are loaded) than I am about the player turnover. I'm not saying it's going to be a bad year by any means, but it's definitely going to be an absurdly tough road just based on the competition.

Salem lost arguably their best player in 20 years. They have a great coach though. With that being said, i see them going 5-5. Too much talent in the AAC this season.

Salem isn't in the AAC anymore, so that won't matter.

I see them going 6-4 possibly 7-3. They could even make a 8-2 bid but it all depends on staying healthy. this is the problem with not being in a league. they have to go outside the county to get games. And take it from someone that knows about not having a league to play in. Campbell was Kicked out of the MVC. It was the last Time since 2 years ago that Campbell was in a League. It was a rough rough 15 years to say the least. We had one good season in 99 at 10-1. We had to travel some great distances to play a game. Wish Salem renewed the contract with Campbell. But i have to go with 6-4 they have a rough schedule.. Why did they leave the AAC? Good Luck Salem on your upcoming season!!

They joined the NBC when Northwest had to leave.

Not in the first year of the NBC. Louisville, Marlington, Minerva & Canton South will be pretty tough to beat.

Oh then that cool.. Very cool. glad they just didn't jump without going into another league. I hear they are a hard league to go up against. But Salem should hold there own...

Who's the transfer at QB? I talked to a couple of friends who usually have info on the football team, but thay had nothing to report. With Kopachy as coach, Salem will be well coached, but their performance in the NBC will be a question mark until the season unfolds. I'm just going to kick back and enjoy the season. It'll be an adventure for sure.

the transfer in from beaver local, he ran a 4.5 40 yard dash as a freshmen and is very athletic. only 5 foot 9, not as strong as toothman was by any stretch of the imagination, but he can hold his own in the weight room as well. very exciting things happening in off season workouts. we will surprise people this year.
  • QuakerOats
^ despite your optimism, the Quakers are in dire need of a QB.
