Akward kickoff high and short. WW starts on their own 40 yard line.
  • OneBuckeye
3rd and 6 for WW on their own 42. Brown takes another QB option run up the middle for a TD. Second time he scored on that play.

    WW-21
    MH - 6

    3:23 2nd quarter.
  • OneBuckeye
Brown now has 108 yards rushing with a 50 and 58 yard TD run.
  • OneBuckeye
MH starts on their own 17 with 3:10 left in the 2nd.
  • OneBuckeye
MH with a long pass to WW 38. WR took a poor angle IMO and runs into a safety or he was gone.
  • OneBuckeye
First down MH at WW 32 1:40 left in the half.
  • OneBuckeye
500 yards of total offense with 1:17 left in the second quarter in this game.

  • OneBuckeye
Andre Knott talks about the MH coach who is the leading tackler in Steubenville history...
  • OneBuckeye
3rd and 12. MH passes into the endzone for their star RB. He gets rocked and is down. 4th down MH.
  • OneBuckeye
Incomplete on 4th down. WW takes over on the 12ish yard line with 33 second left in the half.

How refreshing is it to have a state final game that is still competitive heading into the half?
  • OneBuckeye
    End of 2nd quarter.

    WW-21
    MH-6

2 MH turnovers in the redzone. Great game even though the score indicates otherwise.
  • OneBuckeye
Also there was MH fumble in WW territory that led to a WW score.

Yeah it is. except MH should have a better score going into halftime. They get the ball first and the 2nd half and can make it close though.

I don't see this one as competitive as you guys. I think it's over already. Winton Woods has too much speed for Maple Heights to handle...their defense will give up yards but they lock it down in the red zone and Heights can't figure anything out down there.
  • OneBuckeye
^ I think the first drive of the second half for both teams will tell the story. If MH can score I think they have a chance. Both teams have a lot of speed IMO. WW does have more, but both are flying all over the field.

I agree the first drive will go a long way on how good of a game this one will turn out to be.
  • OneBuckeye
I hope it turns out to be close. MH should have scored on one long run and one long pass, but both players took bad angles to the endzone and WW players chased them down. I think they can pull it out, they just need to get one of the big plays to end up in a TD.
  • OneBuckeye
MH starts the 3rd quarter at their own 23 yard line.
  • OneBuckeye
Wow, great play by shaq washington scrambling and throwing to an open reciever downfield... it gets tipped and intercepted on a wild tip and returned to the WW 35. First down WW.
  • newarkcatholicfan
    That was a great pick.
  • OneBuckeye
3rd and 3 on for WW on thier own 30 yard line.

    They don't get it 4th and 2 for WW. 9:30 in 3rd.
  • OneBuckeye
Great D by MH as WW doesn't pick up the 1st on 4th down. First down MH on WW 28.
  • OneBuckeye
3rd and 5 on WW 34 for MH.

QB draw and it goes nowhere. 4th and five MH.
