^^Haa this guy is gonna get his ass beat sooner or later. Anyways he must not know his cat breeds cause this thread is about Cougars not Tigers. I do think Southview and Napoleon is gonna be a pretty good series for a long time though and it's nice to see another consistent playoff team in the NLL

Classyposter58 it will be a excellent series. Napoleon is definately a move in the right direction.

NLLBEST it appears that Alexander has enrolled at Whitmer.

It's a shame though how much Rossford has fallen apart. They were a consistent playoff team there for awhile and certainly gave people fits in conference.

It is sad hopefully they do well in their new league. The Cougars are looking pretty good in their pre season weight lifting.

Just heard that. Interesting choice but it does make some sense. He can play wr opposite Hayes next year in football and probably will be starting wing opposite hayes in bball. Whitmer will be good again in both sports

Congrats to Allen Gant on his Junior Day invite for Michigan and JQ Bowers for his Junior Day invite for Illinois.

Congrats to Allen Gant on his offer from the University of Michigan.

Allen Gant verbally commits to Michigan.

The Cougars looked really good at the UT 7 on 7 Gant, Bowers, Fisher, and Valdez really looked like they haven't skipped a beat.

Austin Valdez is the youngest of 4 brothers to play at SV. In order - Poncho, Bubba, Chad, Austin. Three older brothers all were studs, worked hard in the weight room. He will uphold the family tradition. As far as his passing, he will not have the tall receiving corps the championship team had, so hopefully he will hold up that tradition as well.

Rossford was a contender in the league for many years, believe it was 2007 they qualified for D3 playoffs.

Another interesting note for the NLL, Northview has a new head coach and the offensive coordinator from SV championship team is now at NV. They have a lot of boys out and are very enthusiastic

Cougargrad I believe Valdez does have a tall receiving corp if not taller than the championship team. You have 6"2 Allen Gant, 6"3 JJ Pinckney, 6"2 Nate Hall, 6"1 Brandon Stewart, 6"5 Travis Miller, and the shortest one is 5"10 JQ Bowers but he plays pretty much everything on offense.

But he does not have Jimmy Hall (his brother will be very good but is only a sophomore) and mainly he does not have Shaun Joplin. Have to admit I did forget about Travis. I am a huge SV fan, so hoping they can do the job. JJ and Nate are young, have to see their maturity level. Allen was an exception as the game was very slow for him as a freshman.

That is true but I believe that JJ will be like a Joplin. If I'm not mistaken as a sophmore to be he is faster than Joplin was as a senior the kid is freakishly fast. He will probably be the kid that breaks Joplins' LJ and HJ records as well as his own brothers 400 and 200 meter records. Nate will be bigger than Jimmy was since I believe he is already about 185. From what I understand they competed at the NFL HSPD 7 on 7 against some pretty talented all start teams and Allen, JQ, Nate and JJ were pretty much unstoppable. Although they are young I believe they areup to the challenge. Couple that with Allen, JQ, and Miller there aren't many teams height/speed wise in the area that will be able to keep up with them. I think our biggest ? will be the depth of the OL.

Hope Fisher is used on O, reminds me of Chad Valdez, very strong and can knock a lot of people out of his way running the ball
  • rmolin73
I totally forgot about Fisher most definately on offense but we missed him on defense the latter part of the year. The kid can hit.

Congratulations to JQ Bowers for being selected for the Cleveland Browns HSPD 7 on 7 all star team this past weekend. I hear him and his fellow teammates did a great job in the national tournament.
