What teams with Big Red would be a good confrence?

You are either for OE (school choice) or you're not. You can't pick and choose when you want to apply it. But it takes on comical proportions when the most vocal opposition of school choice was a transfer himself.

He should change his name to Son Of Gregg, since that is where he "should have" went to school according to his twisted logic.

Did I ever say that I was against OE? No I did not... LIKE I SAID BEFORE... If a kid wants to be somewhere else then so be it because obviously their heart is NOT where it belongs... HOWEVER, when your OE students consist of the areas BEST athletic students that benefit ONE SPECIFIC sport while crossing MULTIPLE school district lines ALL ON A WHIM that they all the sudden want to go there because its such a great school is such a crock of total crap... No one recruited me... IC did not show interest in me for my athletic ability... I chose to go back to the public school system in which I started because THAT is where I wanted to be... You really don't even have a leg to stand on here except to say the same thing over and over in hopes that one of your buddies steps in and joins you on this... Its actually kinda funny and pathetic that this is the best that the might man'owannabewar can come up with.... Please, say the SAME thing again... That would be quite funny.

BTW, when was the last time Big Red had a transfer that was noticed in a sport other than football? I believe that transfer came from IC and played baseball... He left for Big Red because he was "told" he would get a scholarship... I know his mother, she lives off of efts lane and she said the SAME thing... They were actually "promised" a scholarship... Sad that the player got nothing of what he was promised, and now has a family to provide for with no college education... I guess he was "used" within the system the same way 90% of the transfers that are promised the world are used...

SOG, OE students do not need your permission to transfer...they can do it for ANY reason! It can be that they like the paint in the bathroom better at one school than the other...so be it, it's their right.

And who are you to say where someone's heart belongs??? Somebody should have said your heart belonged at Central and made you stay there. You wouldn't have liked that very much, would you?

And who are all these great athlete's that Big Red is getting??? Most of them are decent athletes that buy into the system, work hard, and contribute.

The athlete you keep bringing up, Eckroth, doesn't even want to play sports in college!! So that blows another one of your pathetic theories out of the water.

As for kids wanting to play football at Big Red, it's quite simple. Big Red is very well known, in state and out of state, has great coaches, great facilities, and are supported by fans better than almost any school in the country on a per capita basis. Who wouldn't want to play there? It's like if you had a choice to play at OSU or a MAC school...where are you going to go??

How can a high school "promise" anyone a scholarship??? If his Mom believed that, then I feel bad for her.

Eft's Lane??? Hmmmmm. you mean Eft's Lane in STEUBENVILLE!?!? Why would a STEUBENVILLE kid attend school in Wintersville?? I thought you didn't want any outsiders in your school?? You seem to get pretty upset when someone who lives in Wintersville sends their kid to Steubenville...well, just Big Red, you don't seem to have a problem with all those Catholic Central families who live in Wintersville.

Typical response... I didn't read past the first sentence of either post because I got the gist right away... SAD... Very sad... The worst part is nobody can do anything about it.
  • ManO'War
You don't need to read past the first sentence, because I'm right, you're wrong, and the law of the land agrees with me.

Another good story with some of the truth left out.How about dad thought his kid was better than everyone else at creek, including the coaches and thought his kid should be treated like a god and not have to follow the same rules as everyone else.Maybe you should ask the coaches out there at Creek if thay had a problem with him transfering.
I am not trying to slam you or say you are wrong in all the things you say but you should tell the whole story when you make a post.

law of the land? talking to your friends behind Harding Stadium again? I'm glad the law of the land agrees with you because your the furthest thing from right and the are a LOT of people that disagree with you as well as Big Red.

SoS do you forget all the players Creek recruited during the Sam years?

I saved the best for last...I also figured SOS would fall for it....but since you bit....we're the ONLY school in Jefferson County to to receive a back2back EXCELLENT ACHIEVEMENT mark EVER.....JUST SAYIN.

34-6 while going 7-3 in the OHSAA playoffs (SOS-playoffs are a game or series of games played after the regular season by the top competitors in the OHSAA to determine a state championship.) a State Runner Up (again SOS-Runner Up is one that takes second place, second best.) a Semi Final appearance (again SOS- A Semi Final is a competition that precedes the final one like a State Championship) and 2 Region Championships ( once again for SOS- a Region Championship is a Championship that is won in a Region, say Region 11....the one your Creeksters are in).

So would you like the number to our equipment Rep or are you sticking with your Craig listed bowflex???

Want a response to all the great things you have? WHO CARES... Your training facilities and genetic research program along with your open enrollment players forget a few things... Since your weight room was built, how has Big Red done athletically? For some reason they seem to have gone downhill in football, heck they couldn't even beat an Ohio team this past year... But you have the best stuff so we should brag about everything we do... lol You could have had the Green Bay Packers training facility this past year and it wouldn't have made a lick of difference in the way your season ended... Point is YOU have the best stuff, the best school, the best everything... To us, your just Big Red who loves to brag about everything they can brag about. We really do not care, we really are glad that stuff you have makes you feel the way you do... We will continue to use our bowflex and do it our way... Sorry to take a leak in cheerios, but no one outside Big Red gives a whootin care about what you have.

As for the sub-par coaching comment, the right coaches are in the right places... I used to feel the same way until I opened my eyes and realized there is a lot more to it then just saying what you want about a coach that isn't posting a 10-0 record.

The OHSAA reviews ALL 4-7-2's. lol that's the law of the land.I love it when he talks about us bragging...I gave Creek props for blowing hot air(the band) and Edison for Baseball, Park for Basketball.

SOS maybe I'm nissing something....just when did Creek receive their EXCELLENT ACHIEVEMENT grade from the state???? Big Red scored back2back EXCELLENT grades from the state......better check those trailers for asbestos.

I'm pretty sure they did (the excellent achievement awards), my boys go to Hills and I remember hearing something about it.

Don't feel too bad Steuby guys, we get the same thing up here in Massillon, when all else fails, they always get real serious about academics....On a football board.

    Thanks for posting the facts.

    Steubenville
    Mooney
    Massillon
    Boardman
    East Liverpool
    Austintown Fitch

You'll never see this. Why? Because Big Red would NEVER agree to a home and home contract with these teams......Too many road games for 1 year.
  • 4cards
...I think Big Red would agree based on the gate receipts this type of scheudle would bring. Every time Mooney & Steubenville get together, the game location is packed.

The types of rivalrys that a conference like this would generate (IMO, would be the best in Ohio) make would bring in people from all over who love great HS football regardless of their school loyalties. I know if the choice was to go see Big Red & Fitch get together on a night Mooney wasn't playing, I personally would make the drive to either of the (2) schools home field.

Hey Wylie Coyote, that would only be two or three away games per year, the same as when we were in The All American Conference and the Eastern Buckeye League.
