CARDINAL MOONEY GRAD DERRELL JOHNSON KOULIANOS ARRESTED ON DRUG POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, COCAINE, AND MULTIPLE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. he also tested positive for cocaine and weed and has been charged with running a drug house and distributing drugs. less than a year away from being drafted he just lost everything. theres something to be said about loyalty. derrell transferred from campbell memorial his senior year and left for mooney, turned his back on his city and people that raised him. he is now mooneys black eye. we dont claim him, hes nothing but a traitor to us. karmas a u know what. dont look to us for help...go find it at mooney. when you teach your kids to be disloyal and have no real principles what do you expect. but when the press release goes out it says campbell, oh native. not cardinal mooney graduate. hes garbage.

Did you use all caps in the first line to cover for all the lower case letters starting sentences? ;)

Remind me what year he graduated and position he played.

I believe Derrell played on the '05 Mooney team as the QB. He got hurt during the playoffs and missed a few games including the state championship game that year.

I feel bad that this happened to him. He had the world at his fingertips and probably would have went high in the draft. I hope he can turn his life around. We shall see...

Can't wait to see all the private school haters get a hold of this one...it's about to get really ugly on here.

He is a good catholic kid.

Yep and all catholic kids do these kind of things

Why do you feel bad this happened to him? He obviously chose this path. He's a loser and deserves whatever punishment comes of it. I feel bad for families that lose someone to a drunk driver. I don't feel bad for someone who gets a free education with a path to millions for playing a game only to throw it all away. A drug house????

I guess I worded that wrong. What I meant was that I feel bad that he has marred his reputation. I feel bad how things turned out for him. He never caused any problems in Campbell, and nobody at Mooney had a bad thing to say about the kid. His adoptive parents are class act people. Basically, he was a good kid who seems to have fallen in with the wrong people or just made some horrible life choices on his own. I feel bad because he was a good kid that screwed up some amazing opportunities that he had for himself.

He obviously is a bad adult.

This thread seriously brings the fail.

Can't argue with that. As an adult...he made some terrible terrible choices.

And soupcity...just to correct you. DJK transferred to Mooney towards the end of his junior year...not his senior year. His adoptive parents moved to Poland and gave DJK the choice: Poland or Mooney. He decided to go to Mooney. Wasn't anything about loyalty or principles.
  • omemorialhigh
o my friend you are incorrect...his adoptive parents used a property in poland as an address so he could leave campbell without incident and transfer to mooney. they were supposively building a house at that address in poland. but in reality it was a ploy to get him into mooney n not ursuline. those adoptive parents still live on matawan ave in campbell ohio and thats where derrell lives, and you can drive by and see them all living there anytime you like. the loopholes in all these rules is sickening. if campbell wouldve released him then he couldve went to mooney while living in campbell, but they didnt and so they just worked around the system. yes your right class act people, when you teach your kid to cheat lie and betray your community all the kid will do is cheat lie and betray you eventually. theres something to be said about being loyal...

sherm3 quit drinking the parochial school kool aid, i know you want to believe all the garbage they spew, but what ive said is a fact and that property in poland still has no house on it. its all bs. karma my friends karma.

Question: Why would it matter where he lived with regards to attending Mooney?
  • sherm03
tsst_fballfan;592512 wrote:Question: Why would it matter where he lived with regards to attending Mooney?

Doesn't matter where he lived in regards to Mooney. The problem is the OHSA's rule that a student can transfer between public schools without issue, but must sit out a year if they transfer from a public to private.

Omemorial...maybe you are right. I don't know why Doc and his wife decided not to build the house they were going to build. But to insinuate they are anything less than class acts after all they did for Ferrell is absolutely ridiculous and shows that you're pretty ignorant.

This is really all I needed to know. Every community has dirt bags like this kid, dirt bags that should be put on an island. the real disturbing part to me is the "transfer".

Remember the two "tough guys" on Welcome back Kotter? The lead tough guy would say something, and the other guy would say, "Yeah....what he said".

Or better yet, let me put it this way, fish, I think sherm has a girlfriend, you can quit trying so hard.

He's still going to the pro's. My guess is, he'll get a lower charge.

Maybe they'll "transfer" his case to a Judge who's more caring?

Talent like this going to Mooney in senior year and they had to wiggle around some things..That is what I am talking about...D-1 Mooney playing for a D-3 championship ..............About his problems..You mean to tell me he is going to the pro ranks ?..Thats crazy ..hand in the cookie jar ..Everybody gots to get paid..Like them Ivy league kids selling dope...I know alot of Rappers started in the dope game and came from the streets ..But guys like this who more than likely didnt use ,they were only in it for the quik buck ...Thats rolling the dice at a high price

SMH at supposed grownups on here talking pleasure in the kid's bad decision over this public-private talk on an internet forum. Nothing like pseudo-adults taking a children's game way too seriously.
  • Thinthickbigred
Its more than a kids game ..In Ohio and Texas and Florida anyway

It's 16 and 17 year-olds running up and down a field. It's fun to play, it's fun to watch, and it's fun to discuss. But when someone actually revels in a kid possibly throwing his life away because he's on the "wrong side" of this public-private stuff, perhaps a little perspective has been lost.
