Elyria Catholic High School caught! Violation of RECRUITING rules in football!
-
Be NiceHere is the exact quote from this weeks USA Today dated November 26, 27 an 28.....The Ohio High School Athletic Association placed Elyria Catholic on probation for three years for violation of RECRUITING rules in football.
...and yet many on here try to deny that Catholic schools never recruit. lol lol lol lol lol lol -
OQBThey still couldn't beat Orrville in round two of the playoffs this year!! Wonder how many of those underclassman will go back to their public schools so they have a chance to make the playoffs.
-
Con_AlmaTheir public school is terrible and classified by the State as a failing inner city school system. They recently combined two very large high schools to create one* of the biggest in the State of Ohio.
-
BigdoggPrivatize all schools and lets open it up to everybody.

Because of ONE school?
-
skankNo, NOT because of one school, I believe Cleve. V-A St. Joe is currently on probation, and....No, not because of 2 schools either.

Gardens35Notification.

skankNotification recieved and returned.

Be Nicecoyotes22....see all the worms in your can? Probably doesn't even represent half the Catholic schools that recruit in Ohio.

Trotwood Madison just finished 2 years probation for the same offense. I think they might be a public school, but I'm not sure.Be Nice;578862 wrote:Here is the exact quote from this weeks USA Today dated November 26, 27 an 28.....The Ohio High School Athletic Association placed Elyria Catholic on probation for three years for violation of RECRUITING rules in football.

....and what about West Chester Lakota West High School......it seems to happen in public and parochial schools I guess, and in varying degrees. it's just sad when the actions of a few bad apples spoil the whole barrel. http://ohsaa.org/news/board/minSept10.pdf -
Puddle JumperOhhhhhh no not probation!
Ban these cheaters from the postseason a year and we will see how the recruiting goes down.
I know you are hurting the poor innocent kids.Well I'm sure there are innocent kids at these schools but most of the great players were probably recruited.Same goes for the Trotwoods,Steubenvilles,Massillons ,etc.
These schools will keep cheating until this shit stops.Which won't happen for a long time. -

The situation at West wasn't "recruiting," per se. The kid wanted to attend West, so his parents falsified their residence so he could go there. He was a mediocre player...rest assured no one at West "recruited" him. But you're still right...to assume it only goes on at the privates is silly.etak;580969 wrote:....and what about West Chester Lakota West High School......it seems to happen in public and parochial schools I guess, and in varying degrees. it's just sad when the actions of a few bad apples spoil the whole barrel. http://ohsaa.org/news/board/minSept10.pdf -
