To be honest I dont think Chagrin Falls played nearly the opponents Hartley has played to get into the finals

Calpreps.com projects Chagrin Falls to win, 31-27.

I'll root for public over private every time, but my gut say's Hartley's Key will take control of this one as he's been doing, for the most part, all season.
Speed-wise he stands out as well as any I have seen through many a year watching the playoffs.

Good Luck to both teams. Lifelong memories to be made today for good kids, good coaches, and dedicated parents and fans, no matter the outcome.

What, specifically, about Hartley being a private school have anything to do about it?

I would imagine historically, Parochials have a head to head advantage over publics....Probably an overwhelming one.

Hartley played a great game. We should have shut them down in the 1st. quarter the way we did in the other three. Instead we allowed 21. Unheard of in Alter football. It was just not to be.
I think the stars aligned and everyone who knows Alter football realizes that. The other fact is Hartley has a great team.
Every kid at Alter has a lot of regrets in that game. We blew a game that we though was a foregone conclusion.
Hartley came to play football. Our kids though they were impossible to beat until we were behind 21 points and got down to business.
We scored 28 unanswered points and took the lead. That is the Alter football I know.

The 2 point conversion was the thing to do. We had the momentum, they knew it and did what was necessary to win the game.

"Any given Sunday" takes on a new meaning for us. Not to take away anything from the hard fought win of Hartley but letting that game
slip through our fingers costing us a third straight championship will linger for a very long time.

Hartley won it all as I knew they would after that night.

    Good Luck next year,
As you can imagine, we will be back.
