Holy cow! Just figured it out...As I was walking to the parking lot after the game, from behind an outbuilding I heard a loud squeel and then a long sigh. Curious, I had to find out what it was Lo and behold there stood 2 gentlemen (both very fat and outta shape),one was quickly pulling his pants up. I can finally put a name with the face - nice to meet ya Moto68! (actually, sorry I met ya,ya sicko!) Go Riders!

he probably weighs 150 soaking wet and he is going down to break a wedge! haha That boy can hit, and run!

I also noticed that one as it happened. That one play epitomizes the Rider way to play. Can't wait to see this young man the next 2 yrs! Will be a major contributor along with all the other youngsters that have seen action this season. Think about it.. these guys have already gotten a month longer of practice time than most teams-only gonna help next year.

What uniform set do we wear this week??

We're home team, so red jersey is a given.

    We're 5-0 when wearing red jersey/black pants
We're 0-1 when wearing all red.

I'm not a huge fan of the black pants, but I also don't like going against an obvious statistical fact.

Wear the black pants!! - yes, I'm converted.

I'll await the "IT SHOULDN'T MATTER WHAT WE WEAR!!!!!111111!!!!1111" posts. If we're going to talk amongst oursevles for the next 4+ days, we better be prepared to discuss all the minute details.

    riders1,
I just tested all the drop down menus on my site....they're working fine now. Had issues with them last week but all is well.

Most girls don't put this much thought into what they are going to wear to the prom. Didn't think the riders were the superstitious type.

I am trying to weasel my way out of watching my girlfriend in a parade on Friday night so I can watch the Red Riders again! I am gauging the amount of anger and temporary animosity that would generate with her, though. Hmm... She's telling me to "go to the game" but I know she wants me to watch her in the parade (alumni band performance in Conneaut, OH). Fellow men and women of OhioChatter, what should I do?

This shouldn't even be a question, go to the game! Then on your way home pick up some flowers and take her out to a nice place to eat and you are golden!

Haha my first date with my fiance was to the Steubenville/Buchtel playoff game back in 2005. It was her idea too!

Good point, and that is what separates the great programs from the others.

look at the MAC schools, Big Red, even Mooney, Alter etc...

All these teams usually get atleast 3 extra weeks of football most of the time its 5...That is how you build the winning foundation and each senior class wants to out-do the last senior class. That is how you stay "here" (deep in the playoffs) by having that tradition of being here.

I nominate Moto Mouth for Orrville Thread Troll of the Year!

I see that some of our usual Trolls got a good dose of "Who Cares What You Think" today! Ha ha ha ha!

Well, I learned what the Genoa captain said at the coin toss. He introduced himself to our captains as "Seymore Bush", then after our boys said their names, he called each one "Sweetie", "Honey", "Sugar"....etc. Real classy. The only thing missing was The Candle.

Meanwhile, our guys conducted themselves like they are taught.......along the lines of the Knute Rockne painting I posted........Pride, Respect Your Opponents, Fear None.

I can't believe they are going to go ahead with the "Downtown Orrville" thing on Friday night. Oh, well, the true fans will show up to the game.
  • OQB
    Hmm....

Downtown Orrville "Home for the Holidays" OR Orrville Red Riders playing in the State Semi-Finals......

What to do, what to do?

Oh wait nevermind that decision isn't even close!

You don't know much about girls, then. But, btw, we ARE a little superstitious, as our coach did NOT want to wear the same outfit we wore for week 9 for week 10! Actually, BRF pays little attention to what we are wearing. Go Riders!

Friday Night and Saturday Morning are going to be sooooooo much fun!.....Go WHS!

    You guessed it...MORON!....RED RUMP RIDER!
  • OQB
How old are you? Cause from the sounds of it you can't be older than 12.
  • BRF
Riders1: Remember when I saw you at the library working on sheets with teams and schedules and writing by hand? That is an impressive number of games you have attended. It beats me by about 50 or 60! You reminded me of an old pal of mine who used to do that and was the official "go to" guy for Harbin points (figured out totally with pencil and paper back in the day)........Ernie Mello! I'm sure that Ernie would say, "Go Riders!".
  • Moto68
Great guess AGAIN big guy!....another Orrville genius!.....Im actually 11

Check this article out from the Tiger's local paper. Now that is as one sided homer as you get!

I remember Ernie doing that. I have been doing that by leagues for around 15 to 20 years, and it's fun to know how different teams are doing in their leagues. The harbin points really were easy then as you just counted all the points and didn't mess with divisors and only having 10 per cent of your actual total like they do now. Let Joe Eitel do it:)

    I can't forget 1_beast:

I think we should have BRF or QB set up another poll! This onw should ask all the Orrville Faithful there opinion: Do you think Rage (Idiot), and Moto68 (Moron) know anything about football. I have lived enough life to recognize that they both are the two biggest FOOLS on the chatter!! I put my vote in QB.
