Division IV.....your thoughts.

  • Be Nice
I'm going with Jonathan Alder to win it all.
  • CinciX12
I thought we already had a thread on this, but oh well.

I'm not sure who is going to win it all, I just know that it is VERY likely it comes from Region 16. Clinton-Massie, Jonathan Alder, Kenton, and Kettering Alter is pretty legit regional semifinal schedule.

But Clear Fork is obviously playing really well too. Gonna be fun to see how it turns out.

I agree that whoever comes out of Region 16 is your state champ.

of course it's you saying that, mister biased clown.

At least we know there is no chance of Miami Trace winning a playoff game this year!

Gotta get past my Knights this week first!

Kenton is firing on all cylinders. I think Maty Mauk and the Wildcats take it.

EVERYONE knows Ursaline will win it...they are gonna take all 6 divisions this year

Edit: and i KNOW they are D-V

This division is WIDE OPEN this year!

    May the best team win!

Apple....Last nights game was interesitng. Let me first start by saying your team is good, but I won't say great. As much as I dislike Clinton-Massie I have to say they are a better team than yours. However, congratulations on your win. Now about the game. First, I was really surprised about the turn out of fans on your side. Your town is not very far from Troy considering we had to travel close to 80 miles one way to watch a playoff game. No biggie. I'll get to some of your fans later. Did Alder play up to its standards. No. You saw a very flat Alder team last night. However, your team was better and I congratulate them. As in many cases during games there are questionable calls. For instance last night where the ball was spotted after close first down situations. We didn't seem to get those close calls, but hey, that's part of the game. Again, your team played good. No sour grapes.

Your fans, but I'm sure not all. As we left the stadium an Alder fan yelled out to some Alter fans...how many players did you recruit this year? Personally, I think it was inapropriate for this individual to say that right after the game. However, this was the responce he got from the first Alter fan...yea, we recruit and so what? Call it what you want. Your team lost so get over it. Then another Alter fan shouted...we're allowed to do what we need to do and that's the way it is. Nice. Both sides should have kept their mouths shut, but I think you see where I'm coming from.

Next weeks game. Do you have a chance to defeat Kenton? Absolutely. Will you? That remains to be seen.

... and how did your predictions turn out last year?

Let's just worry about winning the game in front of us.

The best part about D4 this yea is how wide open it is. For the past several years you knew who was going to win it all or what teams were going to make it to Massilon/Canton. This year it could be anyone. Even if it won't be my Comets I'm excited to see who will come out on top.

    A lot of interesting match-ups

Region 13 and 14 will play each other and Region 15 and 16 will play each other. That was on the Huddle, so I'm assuming that is official.

It is on the OHSAA website, that's where they got it, no inside info :)

I only said we had the talent to go all the way...not actually a prediction and I'm not on the team or in high school, I'm allowed to look ahead

Just the fact that it is a possibility makes it interesting....at least to me. The OHSAA has released the top offensive leaders in all divisions. The Orrville Red Riders so far this year have faced number 6 Derek Charmichael from Triway twice, number 3 Fuller from Ashland, and last week the number 3 guy, Reaser from Elyria Catholic. If Kenton and Orrville would happen to make it to the State Final game, then Orrville will have played 5 games this year against the top 6 QB's in the State. Kind of unusual really.

I like that region 14 will play 13 and let 15 and 16 beat on each other.
  • CinciX12
The number 1 and number 5 quarterbacks in the state (passing yards) both juniors and live 10 minutes away from each other. Pretty crazy.
  • Old Rider
...somethings in the water! Or the steroids put in the cows/bulls are working out for them!
  • RedRider1
6 of the final 8 are public schools....i like that.

Very wide open division still.....Ironton & Hartley played once already (Ironton won by 21) so I'd give them the edge there. Alter over Kenton (defending champ gets the nod). I'll take Chagrin Falls over Manchester too.
