I believe I just lost a little respect for MUC. If you DO show up, make it cherry cheese cake....And a 12 pack O'Miller Lite. -

I cant deal with being around uneducated ,and uninformed people ,that just open there mouths to get some sort of basic exorcise . i do not know Viking that well though ,but I suspect you might want to walk away from him when he did start speaking. -

Don't be be a poor sport just because I have more in common with Coach Hall than you do. Coach Hall and myself are both proud MUC grads.
Skank, the only people that you can have a conversation with on your level are other Massillon lifers/townies. My vocab is in the top 10% of Americans. I'll talk slow for you and try and use some StarK County colloquialisms so y'all can follow along. -

You have more in common with Coach Hall than who?
Let's see here:
Viking and coach Hall attended MUC.
Coach Hall spends his evenings molding young men, you spend your evenings with young men, just, in a different capacity.
Coach Hall spends countless hours watching film and gameplanning, you spend your evenings on OhioChatter.
Coach Hall was an All American at MUC, you are an American who attended MUC.
Coach Hall has a beautiful young wife, and two very cute daughters, you have a boyfriend, and two mini dobermans.
Your vocabulary is in the top 10% of all Americans, PLEASE let me know where you got those numbers. -
VikingSkank. You are clueless. I have had a positive effect on more kids in a week than you have in a lifetime. MUC molds winners.
Please go back to watching Soapnet and leave football to the grownups. -
skank"I have had a possitive effect on more kids in a week than you have in a lifetime".
I would be more apt to believe you if only you had left out the word positive. Wait....I guess you did. -
skankBTW, handing out candy from the back of your van does not constitute a "positive effect".

STO or FSN, on of the two wanted to put it on TV.
We have three thursday night games this year, The thinking for the first two is that if everyone plays on friday, you can attract a bigger crowd/make more money, by playing on thursday. I can (barely) handle one a season, especially if the kids get a chance to play on TV, but three is too much. They call em Friday Night Lights for a reason, not Thursday night Lights. -

Ok, we've had our fun with the baseball talk, let's get back to talking about Tiger football on this thread. Thank you. -

ThinthickbigredI got a uestion for Mass how come you let the federal run you guys? That never happened in the day . Now the Federal owns you guys JMO In other words you guys cant wait to be invited in . My guess is they dont want you in ... hmmm wonder why

skankI would be willing to bet (a lot of money), that if you polled 1,000 Massillon fans, 700 of them would NOT want in the Fed. Of the 300 that would want in the Fed, I'd be willing to bet that half of them want in for the same reasons that the administration wants in, and that's the travel issues, jr. high travel issues/distant travel on school nights, any monetary issues in general. Trust me, Tiger fans do not appreciate the percieved begging Massillons administration is doing with the Fed. Massillons former AD even went as far as to say, in the Independent, (Massillons newspaper), that if they let us in, "we'd be willing to take their trash out for them". Needless to say, Massillon fans didn't like that AT ALL.
With all of that said, I do believe that in the near future, Massillon will be in the Federal League, and I do believe that it will be a nice fit. People like to say that Massillons other sports can't compete, and to a certain extent, that's true, in cross country, soccer, (although a few years ago, we did have the stark county soccer mvp), and tennis, sports like that, but what people tend to forget, is that Massillon more than holds it's own in the major sports, Massillon has a pretty good baseball program, and they hold a series lead against EVERY team in the Fed in basketball, except McKinley.
Massillon has a lot of natural rivalries in the Fed, other than McKinley, including Massillon Jackson, Massillon Perry & North Canton Hoover, as far as matchups go Massillon in the Fed could be big, here are some average attendences, all-time:
Massillon/Perry 15,574
Massillon/Jackson 15,000
Massillon/GlenOak 12,608
Massillon/Hoover 11,713
Massillon/Alliance 11,122
Now, if I had my way, the Fed would accept Massillon, Warren & Fitch would re-apply, (and be accepted), and you could have a two division format that looked something like this:
National League
Massillon
McKinley
Warren
Fitch
Boardman
American League
Hoover
GlenOak
Perry
Jackson
Lake
I personally think that would be one of the best leagues in the state. -
