I was just giving your people a place to post since all you were doing was screwing up other threads. You and skank should go talk about how you guys beat Dover in pasts years, if you need me to I'll make a thread for that too!
Other than that, thank you for making this thread, it will come in handy when Dover's season is over and save me 3-5 seconds of my life.
Still in shock that Marlington kicked your @$$? I see you have not posted anything here? But started YET ANOTHER Steubenville thread. Sore winner, much? -
bases_loadedDover turned it over 5 times, how can I be shocked? Do you want my phone number so you can take this stalking to the next level?

Isn't that part of the game? Turnovers? -
september63Ill look at this past season as this. They didnt win a state championship, but they had a very nice season!! Good for them. Last time I checked, it was a question about THIS year. Neither Massillon nor Hoover advanced any further. So, whats either of your point>

I'm not the one starting threads about the way OTHER teams will be remembered this past season either, am I? Stirring up crap. -

Obviously. I wasn't making excuses. That is my take on the game. I find it hard to be disappointed in a team that achieved as much as they did when they weren't expected to do anything. Troll on Big Carter...troll onnn -

Not trolling. Just giving you your stage, sir. Please, tell us how wonderful Dover was this year. -

Why would I tell you how wonderful they "was" in a thread about next year? -

It appears that someone can "dish it out", but, can't take it. -

He sure cant......... -
bases_loadedWhat am I supposed to be taking? This thread is supposed to be about next year(which is still 9 months away). I have better things to do then get hooked by some guy from Hoover.

Not a Hoover guy. Just a "transplanted" Ohio HS Football guy. -

I think he was referring to Big Al Carter. -
ferflogI expect that Dover will again be outstanding in 2011. If they will be in Region 11, they are the team to beat. The road to the State Semifinals goes through Dover.
-
ThinthickbigredDover has a good offensive system ..They are pretty consistant for the last several years ...
-
DoverbuckO.K. I will give it a spin
key returnees
Maholm
Mammarella
Swinderman
Schneeberger
Alexander
Bennett
A. Little
Morris
Farmer
Clinker [if recovered]
Lehr [if recovered]
Sutterluety
Not a bad nucleus to build off of,Defense will be the biggest question mark losing Johnson,ShaloskyGable,Ryan as that guts the inside. past history says they will be fine.
Offense should be solid with Swinderman returning at Q.B. [3.822 YDS 35 T.D. 15 Interceptions]
line loses a lot but developed some depth with all the injuries in 2010 so 2011 will have some starters but won't be as big as 2010. A few freshmen from 2010 might get on the field to add depth,1 or 2 might start. The team could really use a reciever in the athletic mold of Matlick, tall with good speed
As for the season outlook,I think Dover should win a 5th straight title but Zanesville,at Zanesville will not be easy I would guess the league will go
Dover
Zanesville
Cambridge
New Phila
Marrietta
Coshocton will win the small school easily,Claymont 2nd the rest ????? -
bases_loadedNice post, you forgot to trash Steuby fan, but solid 4th post.
-
WaltWord in Picktown is that Dover will be coming for an August 18th scrimmage at Pickerington Central?
-
WooballI haven't heard but that wouldn't be surprising. They have scrimmaged Canal Winchester the last 2 years along with Canton Jackson (div 1) for at least 4 years, so they do like to scrimmage up in size.
-
WaltWe have scrimmaged Coffman the last few years for our 2nd scrimmage, but they dropped us. We were trying to work a deal with Massillon Washington, but that fell through. Dover stepped up to the plate.
-
WooballWith Pick Central's successes lately on the gridiron, it will be a great test for the Tornadoes before they kickoff the 2011 season. I'm sure the Tigers will be the most talented team Dover will see all year, should help out before they open the season with Ashland, Canfield and Tri-Valley - all division II playoff teams from a year ago.
Not sure if you are familiar with Dover's football program or not, but you will see mainly a 5 wide spread attack. About 80-90% passing w/ some QB draws mixed in. They used a side car more last year than in years past, but he graduated and I'm not sure if we will see much from the RB position this coming year. The QB threw for a ton of yards last season and returns as a senior. He put up some nice #'s against Steubenville and Sheridan in the d3 playoffs throwing and running. Dover is a quality D3 program, but I would assume Pick will probably push us around in the trenches and have more than enough speed to cover on the outside. Will be a good scrimmage for Dover, just glad it won't count for their regular season record. -

Sounds like it will be a good test for us. We've got basically the entire front 7 back from last year, but our DBs will be green. We sent 4 DBs from last year's squad to D1 schools (Notre Dame, Michigan, Buffalo, and Eastern Michigan). We had 3 returning DBs who saw a lot of playing time last year either in nickel/dime packages and/or in place of injured seniors, but none of our returning DBs were full time starters.
Offensively we return some skill guys but will be a little inexperienced on the o-line. We have two key returning O-linemen - Jacoby Boren already has an offer from Ohio State, and Nick Wilson goes about 285 and will be in his 3rd year as a starter. The rest of the o-linemen will be new starters. -
Doverbuck1st step in fixing or improving the playing surface at Crater is complete, all the grass has been killed. Really looks awful right now but should be sweet for fall.
