Sheridan vs Dover
-
bases_loadedDover scored 31 on Big Red and it could've been 42. I don't see Sheridan having the athletes Big Red had on D. Should be another shoot out.
-
strongbadMaybe if Steuby had the athletes that Sheridan has, they'd be in the 2nd round...it will be a great game for sure, Sheridan has proven that they can beat spread offenses before. I'm sure that ball control and the turnover battle will factor in this week.

CaturdayzSheridan 42-21 sounds about right to me

Sheridan doesn't get the recruits Big Red does. -
moneyballaSheridan is better then Stueby. Dover will not have the best QB on the field again this week. CJ Myers is the real deal. Big arm, great athlete. We throw just as well as we run, just usually don't pass much past the first quarter because of scores. This Sheridan team is as good as any I"ve every seen, if they take care of the ball they can beat anyone in D3, still have to have a little luck and Dover is very good though. If SHS wins this game they will win the following week, a running team won't beat them, it will take a team like Dover to beat them. This is the scariest game in the region for the Generals.

HAHA love this line. Last i checked we were playing HIGH SCHOOL football not college. Pretty sure you are NOT suppose to recruit even though we know you guys have for years.. Sad it takes that to win, and that you can't just get kids who have lived there for all of their lives to play and win. That is how it should be. Don't get the recruits HAHA still funny. Not like it matters now because they will be watching from the sidelines now. -

WTF are you talking about? -
NYFan54Game will be played at Zanesville High School. Good luck to both teams, but I feel the Generals take this one.

LMAO Your kidding right? Dover recruits as often as Jersey themed clubs get set up in Sugarcreek. -

I wouldn't bet the house on that. -

Well the only thing i can say is they are not on here admitting it like Bases did. Either way it's sad. Take what you get and build on it.
And to say Dover will walk all over us. That's fine think what you want. Everyone else does and says we don't stand a chance. Like that's anything new this year. And to say we are not as good as the 0-3 vs OHIO school Stuby that is sitting at home this week. That is funny. A lot of scouts have been saying they would have finished 3rd in the MVL this year behind Sheridan and Tri-Valley. But anyways back to this week.
The boys will be ready and yes they will plan on the 1 way air attack that we all know Dover does and does well. If they didn't they wouldn't be here. We get pressure on the QB and make him have to move out of his element will be key. I am not real sure on their D because all we hear about is the O. Anyone have any input? -

JRock211I would expect nothing less from you Bases.

This fella's reading comprehension is stellar.
I will say there is no way that Sheridan has as good of athletes that Big Red did, especially Petteway, both Pierro's and a couple others. With that said, that doesn't mean that they can't defend us better than Steuby did.
Offensively, Big Red scored all but 3 times they had the ball. They threw one INT, they turned it over on downs on the 1 yard line, but then immediately picked off a pass and scored a few plays later, and they were turned over on downs on the last drive. So I am not sure how Sheridan's offense can play any better than Big Red's did.
It's time to avenge '87 and '03 and send the children of the corn back to their farms. -

I think you need to go back and slowly read about 5 years worth of Big Red v Dover posts...then delete all your comments and never post on a message board again. -
JRock211Haha that had nothing to do with Dover vs. Stub. It's more you then them.
Wooball: I don't see where I said Dover was bad. I know they are good or I they wouldn't be here right now. Yes Dover is a good team, but so is Sheridan. You know it as much as I do. We have 2 great teams that will hit it off Sat. night and give all of us on these forums a great game to watch. I have not taken anything from Dover on any of my post. Thank You...
And it wouldn't be a normal forum if no one was talking about Stuby I guess even though they are not in the race anymore. That's just how it goes over there. -

You are caught up on the recruiting thing and I was talking about Big Red not Dover or Sheridan. -

Hey bases, what game were you watching? Could have been 42? You were lucky to win the game. Let's see, Steuby outscored you in the second half 14 to 10 after our coaching staff woke up and started blitzing. That's 10 lousy points in an entire half.
We were driving for the winning T.D. or field goal at the end of the game down around the 10 yard line, when a busted play forced our slow Q.B. to keep the ball and got stopped.
We had a total of 453 yards against you to your 388. We had 54 running plays for 286 yards ( 155 yds in 29 carries with a 5ft 9 in. tailback). You rushed 12 times for 52 yards; Q.B. contained on his rushing.
So, you can see just how close that game was; not the same game Bases saw at all.
No excuses, just facts you ignore; posted here for the Sheridan fans to see the real facts on that game.
So, if Sheridan pounds the ball on offense, blitzes on defense, and Dover is not still on a high from beating a very average Steuby team, Dover could be in for a long night.
I love to watch Dover play and hope they get to move on; have some family who live there but, it's posters like bases who give them a bad name.
Now you can come back with the old recruiting B.S. you keep posting. Probably have to wait until you get home from school. What time do they let out grade school there?
Cheers. -
bases_loadedDover fumbles on the 20 when QB is scrambling up the middle (+7), Dover settles for a field goal after having 3rd and 2 on the 3 yard line(-3, +7) for a sum of +11 points...31+11 = 42 Thus the word...and you even bolded it.. COULD'VE(not SHOULD)...go start Big Red '11 thread.
Here I did you a favor

LRB54Dover fans... If you watch film on this sheridan team. Dont kid yourself. They way that those kids get off the ball and play for 48 minutes is great. I know you guys have a history but the generals may verywell take this region by 14 each week. They are dangerous
-
moneyballaDover is the only team left in this region that scares me. We have an outstanding football team, maybe the best Culver team I've ever seen. That said, if we have a weakness it is that on occasion we play to soft in coverage on the outside and allow short underneath passes for 5-8 yards which is as good as a run. Every so often we allow someone to run open in a seam. Positive is we have serious athletes this year, many of which play in the secondary, and we get pressure on the qb. Our offense is very difficult to stop, if they take care of the football (put it on the turf unforced trying to do to much on the option and returning punts) they will put up big points. Defense is the key for Sheridan on Saturday. I expect a very good football game and hope the Generals win.
