i am from dover and loved playing orrville. always a competitive game. i think however that clear fork is just too strong yhis year , and will probably be playing for the state championship.

One thing Genoa must do to win this game is keep the ball away from Clear Fork. There is no way Genoa can stay in this game if they let CF have the time of possession, I may be biased but I'm not dumb. But I have noticed this is Genoa's fotre. They did it last week, and they did it against Fostoria&Alter back in 08. They ate up the 3rd quarter and kept it out of the other team's hands. Turnovers wil be huge in this game. I don't see many happening, but in a game that each team will likely have very few possessions, stealing one off of a fumble will mean more here than any other week.

I think this will be one of those games where we will come on here friday night and say "If this didn't happen the game would have been completely different."

Genoa just has to get an early lead, match each of cf scores, and wrap up when they tackle...if they cam do that they have a good shot a winning.

Orrville played them tough for the first half and our offense just didn't show up....not taking anything away from the colt defense....we were shut completely down...but it was part our fault as well! I don't remember how many time we were in colt territory and didn't get any points....got to be on your A game!

Anyone have any idea if Genoa will be on the home side or visitor side down at Tiffin?

Top line of all brackets gets home side.
  • bigkahuna
Which means Genoa will be the visitors.

Never sat on the Tiffin visitor side. Looks small from across the field, but I guess we'll manage. Way better than sitting home Friday night!

The best part of Genoa's defense is there run defense there pass defense is there weakness. They did a good job of stoping OG witch is a very good running team. Not sure if they can do the same against Clear Fork but I am sure they will slow them down. I really think this will be a low scoring game. I wish it where friday already. This is killing me.

What's killing me is your spelling. Seriously, run a spell check before you post.

On a nicer note, I agree with you on your thoughts.

It is bigger than the visitor side we had at Ashland last year, way bigger :)

If Genoa knows where McCune is lined up that is the key.....They run first, run second, and throw when they need to...WITCH :D they are able to do when needed.

They run some nice screen passes to McCune that they have a few variations with....he lines up at WR and run a middle screen...then they will come back with that same screen but fake to McCune and throw a fade route....their Offensive coordinator really knows how to call a good game....atleast he did against us!

Bottom line is....KNOW WHERE MCCUNE IS LINED UP!
  • cf33
I was told Mccune is out this week.

ESPN reported McCune has a torn left shoe string. McCune will be out for at least 6 to 8 minutes.

How is the seating at Tiffin? Will there always be tickets for sale at the gate? And by when will I have to arrive to ensure I get a ticket? I will be leaving work in Fairlawn about 5:00, which puts me at the field a little before 7:00. Game time is 7:30, correct?
  • riders1
I have never been to a football game that sold out before I got there, 99.9 % sure you can get a ticket at the gate. A seat may be hard to find :) SRO , but you should be able to squeeze in with your old CF buddies, since they are home side seating. Yes 7:30 gametime, so 7:00 should get you in.

I too have never been to a Sold Out High School Game. Usually if the crowd is that big, they post signs that say "Standing Room Only" Unless it's a field that has no standing room, it's almost impossible to sell out.

I remember back in 2003 or so, I went to a St. Edwards vs Glenville (with Jamario O'Neal, Freddie Lennux, Rose, etc... I think that was the matchup) that was sold out when I got there but luckily was able to buy a ticket from a scalper.

This game will probably be in 4 th quarter by the end of halftime at the Orrville game. I wonder if both teams combined throw more than 10 passes
