I went to this game last night with no preconceived notions of anything.....I had no dog in this fight, just wanting to see a good game......All i came away with is a bad taste in my mouth for st.johns football......what a bunch of arrogant kids......especially #3.......Fremont was on the goal line....trying to punch it in the end zone.....looked like they fumbled........BUT EVERY official was signaling the player was down.....NO FUMBLE.......#3 picks up the ball(rightfully so) and starts jogging with it all the way to their endzone(as the st.john coaches are telling him to do??) even though every official was saying DEAD BALL.......This #3 begins to slowly and arrogantly WALK back down the CENTER of the field...in the mean time Fremont is lining up for the next play.....this kid is still at MID FIELD WALKING.......Finally the ref throws a flag for delay of game.....And the coaches CANT BELIEVE IT????? Are you kidding me st.johns?? ANY other coach would of been screaming at that kid to HUSTLE IT UP!!!! WALKING DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD?!?!?!?!?!? Pathetic
St Johns does not have a home field for sure. They use either Rogers or the Glass Bowl for the bigger contests but I believe someone said the Doyt charges a smaller fee for use.
