Its fair to say they dont want us .and what condtions? home and away? Just like all them years we tried to get Brooke for years but they would tell you we dodged them at the time. -

What makes it fair to say they don't want you? Where's the proof? -
Gardens35...think Fitch.

Its an educated guess . I know our people ,and we have been trying everybody in the valley . It is an easy bet we have tried no doubt. they are one of the few teams with a winning record against us . We havent played since 1962 I believe , they own a 15-14 advantage against us . I know they dont want to give that up . They like playing there fiddle down that way like Brooke did in the 80s. Dude its a FACT they dont want us . -

Wait a minute. Your first sentence. "It's an educated guess". Your last sentence. "Dude its a fact they don't want us". Maybe they don't WANT you because they don't NEED you. That's an educated guess of course. -

We will play you and you guys play Ursulin ....{{{{{crickets}}}}} -
Gardens35You wouldn't want Fitch on the schedule? As a fan of Fitch, I'd like Steubenville on the schedule. It won't be next season though, Fitch is booked with 3 "out of conference" and has to fulfill its FED obligation. Was hoping that this years Fitch-Steubenville JV game would somehow set the stage for some varsity games in the near future.
-
Gardens35...and I'm not sure what you mean with the Ursuline reference but in the past 3 or 4 years I think there's only been 1" Youngstown" Public that has scheduled them, Fitch.

why the crickets remark ? We got enough big boys on our schedule . that is why we are so banged up all season . you made the refrence to schedule Fitch and now you say we wouldnt want you guys . I am sure we are not afraid of you at all . Who cares anyway I pull for all you Youngstown publics to defeat the real pariah's Mooney and Ursulin . I hope you get a dynasty up that way . I pull for all my public school breathren . We must stand together against the real evil !! LOL. heheheh -
Gardens35It was a question from me...I'll rephrase it. "Do you think that you or other Steubenville football fans would like to have Fitch on it's schedule sometime in the near future?".
My new and improved, as in hopefully much simpler, statement: As a Fitch fan, I would sure like to see Steubenville on the Fitch football schedule sometime in the near future. -
ThinthickbigredI dont think I would . We have enough big boys .

I actually think Fitch would be a great addition to the schedule! Fitch would be great in preparing for the playoffs and if we win, we could almost bank on at least 5 wins netting a great deal of Div I/II 2nd level points.Gardens35;542761 wrote:It was a question from me...I'll rephrase it. What I don't think Thinthick realizes is that the dominating season Fitch is having this year, isn't an every year occurrence! In no way is that a knock on the Fitch program, but it is what it is when you play in that region and in that league. I'd be willing to bet most years we'd match up pretty well with Fitch! If we could trade out a Wheeling Park or Cardinal O'Hara for Fitch, I say we do it! -
Gardens35Hey '95, maybe we could trade out Wheeling Park/O'Hara for that Canadian team Fitch has scheduled for next year and get together.
That Canadian stuff is very disappointing. -
katz#57Would Reno consider playing Maple Heights. They are usually good and have a Steuby connection in Filtz?
-
DthaneI'd be fine with Fitch. Plenty of room, especially for a regular season game.
-
war_admiralPlaying Fitch would be great. Nice stadium, hard nose fans and good football environment there.
