Week 10: Sandusky at Fremont Ross
-
LeonardoThoughts on this big, annual rivalry? Sandusky is 6-3 while Ross is 8-1.

hoops23Thoughts? Sandusky whooped that ass last season 30-0 Hopefully we can repeat that IN Fremont this year. Playing for a 7-3 record and a playoff birth, not to mention a share of the GBC crown... That's a lot to play for in week 10.
Ironically, Sandusky will be going for win #630 I do believe.
All that despite this being our first winning season since 1999. It's been a tough stretch for this once proud and storied program, but Sandusky is finally back on the right track.
Also, Sandusky vs Fremont is the second oldest rivalry in Ohio, obviously behind the biggest rivalry in Ohio. -
areyoukiddingmeI'll be there cheering for the Little Giants but this game does worry me a lot! Sandusky's ability to run the ball and their flexibility in the passing game will keep Ross on its heals all night. Should be a dandy of a game.
Don't forget there is a Chili Festival (Chili, hot dogs, chili dogs, etc) with 50-50 raffle, prizes, etc. at Stamm Elementary School right next to the Fremont Ross stadium before the game. Very reasonable prices and you can grab a quick bite and get to the game quickly! -
ohsports4Congrats to Fremont Ross in this one. Game started out very slow with neither offense seeming to get anything going. Wolf threw 3 picks in the game added by one more int. throw by running back Trautwein. However, Ross settled down and was able to run the ball very controllably in the final quarters scoring 21 unanswered points. This is a great rivalry and anything could have happened tonight but, congratulations to Fremont Ross on hanging in there and pulling this one out.

hoops23Sandusky lost this game on a 4th and 2 on the ross 2 yard line. Trailing 14-7 at that point, the Streaks were very confused offensively and Franklin (the head coach) didn't call a time out. Instead, he gets the play in at about the 10 second mark on the playclock and the Streaks come out 5-wide....SMH
That followed a Strickland TD that was called back for holding, so that entire sequence took the air out of the sails for Sandusky.
Needless to say, we're 6-4 and headed to the playoffs anyway.
