ATTICA — Tyler Cusac provided plenty of fuel for Carey’s high-powered running attack Friday night as the Blue Devils knocked off Seneca East 21-9 in a Midland Athletic League game.
Cusac rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on a night when the Blue Devils (6-3, 5-1 MAL) rolled up 334 yards. Their defense wasn’t bad either, limiting the Tigers to 98 yards.
Dillon Sammons scored on a 2-yard run in the second quarter to give Carey a 7-6 advantage.
Cusac ran into the end zone from seven yards out in the third quarter to put the Blue Devils in front 14-6. Dustin Massie rumbled 19 yards for a TD to finish off the scoring for Carey.
The Blue Devils did have some problems hanging on to the football as they fumbled the ball three times and had one interception. The Tigers (4-5, 2-4) turned the ball over three times.
