MCCOMB — Taylor Hanes tied the OHSAA record for touchdown receptions in a season at 27, recorded five receptions for 149 yards and scored three TD’s to help unbeaten McComb blitz Arcadia 63-2 in a Blanchard Valley Conference football game Friday evening.
Hanes tied Ben Wonderly’s (Fairview) first place record of 27 TD receptions in a season set in 2007.
Andrew Dee hooked up with Hanes on TD passes of 23, 22, 70 and 30 yards for the Panthers (9-0, 8-0 BVC). Dee connected with Mason Roth on a 15-yard TD pass and Brian Walker on a 10-yard score.
McComb’s Austin Inbody returned a 60-yard punt for a score and Jerry Brwon scored on a 30-yard rush. Clay Dysert snuck in on a 11-yard run.
Arcadia scored with a 1:26 left in the third quarter on a safety.
Dee completed 12 of 17 passes for 263 yards for the Panthers while Brown had a carry for 40 yards.
Brandon Ludwig recorded 27 rushes for 70 yards.
