RAWSON — Jeremiah Alspach turned in a stellar performance against Vanlue Friday night. The Cory-Rawson quarterback threw for 322 yards and five touchdowns as the Hornets blasted the Wildcats 72-36 in a Blanchard Valley Conference game.
Alspach was 16 of 24 passing and threw four of his scoring strikes in the opening quarter as the Hornets built a commanding 35-6 lead. He ran for a TD in the victory as well.
Vanlue quarterback Dillon Kliesch was 19 of 52 passing for 322 yards. He threw for five TDs as well, including a 67-yard scoring pass to Jonathon Kloepfer in the third quarter.
The Hornets (4-4, 3-4 BVC) churned out 609 yards of offense while the Wildcats (2-6, 1-6) finished with 379.
Adam Rosendale led the C-R rushing attack, scoring a pair of TDs as he ran for 133 yards. He caught a TD pass as well.
Kloepfer caught five passes for 122 yards. Zach Garber had four receptions for 111 yards and a TD for Vanlue.
