Went to the Lake/Eastwood game tongiht and I was completely unimpressed with Lake. Their backs are slow to hit holes, poor overall tackling, and Eastwood dominated the line of scrimmage on offense and defense. Much of Lake's lack of offense could be credited to their playcalling though. Way too many conservative calls. I was told by a Lake student that Tantari should be 100%, or close to it, next week so that is a plus for Lake. He played defense at safety and looked ok, so we'll see how he does next week. Genoa's interior offensive line should keep an eye on #77 for Lake though. Very good DT.

game will be over before it starts. genoa is too good. the only reason lake has 5 wins is because all the teams they have played are garbage. there two losses were by a big margin. genoa by 60

Lake has beaten every poor team on their schedule, and has been blown out by every good team. They may not have to win friday night, but at least keep it close to in a way save face to prove they are actually a good team. Not just a product of a weak schedule. I sat on the Lake side Friday night, and there was a lot of negative grumbling about the Lake coaching staff. A Lake alum and close friend of mine said "I don't even consider [Hankish] a coach". A lot of improvement has happened over in Lake, but it sounds like the Flyer alum are not happy with the way this team is coached. I don't really like to judge coaches negatively, but there seems to be an internal affair here.

a very good team against a not so good team. Lake doesnt block nearly good enough, tackle well enough, or playing anywhere near the kind of physical football you need to play to compete with anyone worth anything, let alone Genoa.

bw-we could have been undefeated and won friday and there would still be people on the Lake side grumbling about coaches. Ive heard people complain about Denny Meyer and he hasnt even lost a regular season game yet. #77 is Wes Socie, probably the best defensive player for the Flyers. Undersized for the line but he sure does play hard and low.
