You say "This is not true"

Why dont you start a Dover thread or something . Nobody has to proove anything to you . We played your best team in history and beat them .enough said. -

You are way off base. Steubenville is no more a composite of a greater geographical region than any other school in the area. In talking about football, we have a net boy high school transfer ratio of 3 to 2. We lost 3 boys out of the district and 2 came in. There were 2 more boys who's parents moved here to teach at the University. They went out for football but could not take the training and quit.Dover;522549 wrote:- also realize that I have not said there was anything wrong or illegal about the process. Your initial post was making the implication that Ursiline was a composite of a greater geographic region whereas Steubenville was not, which in fact is not the case. You then tried to make the case that Ursiline was somehow advantaged by offering "free education" and that somehow Steubenville was not, also, not the case.
In the grade school, the story is different. Due to financial difficulties, Harrison County closed down several grade schools and we gained enough tranfers in the lower grades that we had to build 2 more classrooms. Other school districts also gained enrollment from Harrison Co.
For you to sit there in your Mom's basement and generalize without proof, is a disservice to your school and yourself.
Cheers. -
Strapping Young LadYou've got to find something to do during football season when you're team is Dover. Unless wallowing in sorrow over the fact that you'll never win a Regional Championship let alone a State Title keeps you busy enough.

Yes, we are in that cycle. Our defense was keeping us in games until we came up with all the injuries.BigYtownRed;522442 wrote:First off congrats to UHS on an impressive win.
What is so surprising to everyone about our losses, I knew from the first couple of games this was going to happen somewhere along the line. We just finished six straight years with excellent QB & skill position play. We do not have it this year & we won't have it next year.
We have a RB that is tough as nails but is 5'2" w/o much speed. HELLO Big Red O Coordinator, quit running him to the outside, it works like 0.043% of the time. Our QB is a WR not a QB, has zero touch & really does not look like he knows what he is doing. Plus his pass protection has something to be desired.
The D is fine but is on the field too long, too often & the longer the game went on the more opportunities UHS's big uglies got to pound away so MR. Teague could run like the wind.
I hear really good things about Marlington from people in the know, we beat them by 8 last year with a skilled QB. Stop our run up the middle & unless the D is scoring we are toast.
RRR
We'll have to wait and see how many we get back for the playoffs. But with the offense the way it is, looks like not much chance for a big run. -

Give them SOME credit, the last time Massillon played Dover, we only beat them by 34 pts. On top of that, Dover had Massillons starters so scared, that the starters didn't even play the second half of the game. Dover didn't look as athletic as I thought they would, I think the most athletic move made during the series was when the Dover AD picked up the phone to call our AD to cancel the rest of the series, I hear he had to actually walk around a waste basket, AND move a paper weight to get to the phone. AWESOME. -
ThinthickbigredI want all the kids to come to Steubenville in the area .

Why would they need a paper weight? They don't have 22 paper titles. -
skankI'm quite sure there were a stack of contracts on the desk that needed canceled.
