    BLOOMDALE — Jack Waldock and Nate Wacek ruled the ground for Elmwood on Friday night as the Royals emerged in the second half to beat Woodmore 41-22 in a Suburban Lakes League game.

    Wacek scored on a 2-yard run with 1:58 left in the first half and the Royals (4-3, 2-1 SLL) scored early in the third quarter on Waldock’s 6-yard burst to create a 28-14 lead.

    Woodmore’s (2-5, 0-4) Pierce Fonseca, who rushed for 85 yards and three touchdowns, scored on a 6-yard run and Jacob Icfman ran in the 2-point conversion to cut Elmwood’s lead to six points.

    But Waldock and Wacek each scored from 5 yards out in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.

    Waldock led Elmwood with 226 rushing yards, while completing 5 of 12 passes for 109 yards including a 35-yard scoring strike to put Elmwood on the board.

    Wacek scored three times on the ground and added 139 rushing yards.

    The Royals churned out 497 total yards and held the Wildcats to 242.
