Week Seven: Struthers at Salem

  This should be a very very competive game.
  Struthers coming off a win vs Labrae, and Salem coming off a win vs Campbell, this should be a great one!!
  Thoughts?!!

  Struthers has been playing well all season against quality opponents and had close games against playoff contenders East Liverpool and Girard. A few breaks here and there and we would be talking about a 5-1 Struthers team. Salem has to stay focused against a dangerous Wildcats team and try to not look ahead to Lakeview and EL. Salem will probably go into the game as the favorites, but if Struthers plays up to their potential this game could go either way. I don't know much about Struthers this year, but it seems that their defense will be the key to victory for them in this game.

  It does seem like Struthers is always in close games. Salem can't afford a letdown after the big Campbell victory.

  It wont happen Struthers will have a hard time with Toothman. That Salem team is big and hard to stop. and trust me i thought Campbell would have some problems with Salem but my god that was a ass smack! Salem deserved that win hands down. no complaints here. All i can say is good luck in stopping toothman. And i don't want to here Campbell is not as good as what there record showed. Ask the salem people. Campbell got caught off guard 3 times by Salem and that's what put campbell in a hole and they just kept digging there self deeper. Salem is for real. Salem 28 struthers 14.

  Back to what i just said they have to stop toothman to have a chance. If they dont they will get smacked just like campbell did. But if they get some big plays and possibly a couple TO's they should be in the game. Struthers is alot like campbell with alot of speed but they also have the power run game to try and slow the game down and chew some clock

  There are few teams in Ohio that can stop Toothman; no offense to Struthers, but they are not one of them. Too many weapons for Salem and the line play is getting better each week. I like the Quakers to come out swinging on homecoming ............. Salem will win, 35-14.

  problem with trying to stop Toothman is he always has the ball in his hands....much much easier to isolate a receiver out of the gameplan but if u load up against the run then he can hurt you with his arm and if u dont send the house then he hurts u on the ground. much like i said about last week game against Campbell...it will come down to the play in the trenches. I believe Struthers is much smaller than Campbell up front but I also think they are better in the trenches. Should be a good challenge for the Quakers

  im confused Ohio...what about that was a joke? struthers fumbled the ball...we picked it up lol isnt that part of the game...or is this like when we were 5 you get a do over when you make a mistake lol or were just playing for F U N...shhhhhh dont tell the lil kids from struthers lol bottomline is this...struthers has never won a darn thing...and never will. has struthers ever even appeared in a final four in any major sport??? lol i can see if you guys had this long history of beating campbell but u guys are back 10 games in the series for a reason. well see you guys in week 10...you should worry about salem...theyre a big enough problem trust me. well worry about champion. have fun with toothman...

  Campbell fans get so offensive when someone says something about struthers and not campbell they never have anything good to say about struthers. Campbell has beatin struthers what 1 time in the last how many years. I have a question why do you think struthers is such a pushover? Struthers and Campbell played 2 similar opponents so far Campbell beat Labrae by a touchdown or 2 more and Struthers beat labrae by over 30 a game campbell was lucky to get a W.

  Salem will not be taking Struthers lightly. Two of their losses could have easily gone their way, and three of the teams left on their schedule could give them a ton of points if they could pull out wins in those games. So, they still have reason to believe that they could make the playoffs at 7-3. This is a very dangerous game for Salem, and I'm sure Kopachy will have them ready. It should be another good one!

  I can see this game going either way.
  Toothman is a man, plain and simple, but those cats have some fight in em this year!
  Stop toothman, and move the ball you win.
  But i see both offences excelling this week. I'm not calling the game, but i bet its high scoring

  Yes, anything can happen on Friday night, but I sense we will force their young qb into some mistakes and we will capitalize on them. They may be good at stuffing the run, but we have many other weapons. If we play like we did in the second half of the Campbell game, we will win going away.

  I have seen both of these teams vs labre. I would say that struthers has the advantage in few categories. Line play, physicality, heart and coaching. We were able to run the same play for 250 yards against Salem. They didnt beat us up phyically. we were way overmatch in size. If not for a punt return, we win. As for stuthers their kids played 100% all game. There coaches made good adjustments and will be the differnce in the game.

  LRB54 i agree in every aspect except the coaching. they are the reason of 2 losses this season struthers should be 5-1!. Hopefully they can go out and make a game out of this. Salem is on a roll right now. Go Wildcats :]

  Salem is now playing like they are capable of ----- nothing like game 1 vs Labrae. Also, we played you with your #1 qb; I see he has been out and I assume did not play vs. Struthers.. ?? It may well be a close game, but we should be ready to go.

  Salem was off admittedly off to bit of a rocky start early on in the season, only beating LaBrae and West Branch by one score, and while United started off as a blowout, they scored multiple times in the fourth quarter to come within 5.
  
  After watching the Quakers play against Liberty and Campbell, I believe we are vastly improved from week 1.
