HAHA..It must be easy to come onto the scene after your team pulls the upset.

    Keep up the good work.

    WOW!!
Great game. Groveport was big and fast. Quarterback is good runner, poor passer.
At halftime it looked sad for GC. Groveport's speed around the ends was awsome. GC made some defensive changes, and shut down Groveport in the 2nd half to 3 total points. Luke was off in his passing the 1st half, but got it going latter. Looks to me like a D1 prospect for sure.
Ken was assigned the task of spying on the quarterback. Groveport was out of their comfort zone late, and they began lobbing long passes. They should have continued with their DAVIDSON style, ( well they did on punts and kickoffs ). The 10,000 plus fans had a great time. Maybe great fans do make for a good team. And, Corso got it exactly correct: (GROVE CITY by 6 points.) Make more good predictions, Cruiser_96. n8gc GC fan

You know, Nate... I thought about Corso's prediction late last night. He was spot on. I forgot to post Herby's call of Cruisers in OT due to a late surge by Smurthwaite.

All in all, it's one game that we let slip away. Hats off to the Dawgs for playing tough until the end. At 2-3, they'll have a tough road to hoe for a playoff berth, but with a few more wins like this one, who knows what could happen.

    Good luck to the Dawgs.

As for the Cruisers... weep for the evening for work cometh in the morn.

Yes, I would have to agree. A few years ago,(3 or 4), GC lost their first three games, then beat Reynoldsburg, and went on to play in the playoffs. In this league, it's possible because of so many strong teams, (they tend to knock each other off). GC could have beaten DAVIDSON this year, but due to a bogus offside call, they were not given the chance. Pick. Central looks real strong. GC should win at Lancaster, this week; and should have no trouble with Newark, Gahanna, or Pick. North. At this point, I don't see them beating Pick. Central.
Oh, by the way, Cruiser, you do know Tyler Reichle at West Jefferson, do you not? He is my grandson, as is his cousin Ken Reichle at Grove City,( number 36, middle linebacker, with 15 tackles in the Groveport game). Ken also does the punting; and ran for a 1st down out of punt formation in the Groveport game. So, as you can see, I don't miss West Jeff. wrestling, or Grove City football and baseball. lol. Keeps this old man busy. n8gc

I'm sure I do know him but nothing sparks my (old) memory.

Concerning this league... Last week we had 4 teams from the OCC Ohio in the top 7 of the area. Now, we'll most likely only have one or two due to the fact that we are all beating each other. As I just said to myself recently... this is why you HAVE to take care of YOUR business. You can't hope another team gets knocked off. You have to create the opportunities.

But, in the meantime, good luck Dawgs and Go CRUISERS!!!
