WEEK 5: LABRAE (2-2) AT CAMPBELL MEMORIAL (4-0)

A question was asked up above.......Why number 7 and number 25 are not seeing more action. I have NO IDEA!!!!!!!!!!! These two young men need to get in the game for three reasons. One, they are the future and the future is bright. Did you watch them running the ball last night alone? Number two, if God Forbid J'Ales goes out..........you need backs that are ready to go. Especially as the season wears on and J'Ales needs some extra rest. And number three, why not give defenses that much more of a problem. That being said.....who knows what the plan is going into the heart of a very hard 5 weeks coming up.

If Campbell plays the way they play in the second half....for an entire game.....nobody will beat them in the regular season. Nobody. They have to PLEASE hang onto the damn ball already. What is with that loaf of bread thing they are doing? God, so much talent out there.....correct the little mistakes and dominate beginning to end. You cannot make those mistakes this week.

Here is the bottom line........Toothman......again.....Toothman. Here let me say it again....Toothman.

Last night was a very well executed second half. I enjoyed the win. It was nice to see some life in the players. I still think as fans we suck. Plain and simple.

They have played some teams that are good but it comes down to intimidation. when people hear martins ferry down here its like they already give up. I will have to say Martins ferry will loose in the next 3 weeks. they are gong to have to play My sons team Indian creek and they don't fear many.

That's nice. But let's think about Salem first and foremost. Week 11 is too far down the road. We have to get there first.

Pride, you and I were seated next to each other last night. But you know what is even more interesting................#7 and #25 gained their yards running behind the jayvee offensive line. Coach Sikora pulled the starters with about 8 minutes left in the game. I am really excited about our underclassmen. Let me tell you something else: Salem is big up front. They have 5 returning linemen from last season. This will be a big test for Campbell. I agree, play the way we did in the second half last night for the rest of the season and we're going to be tough to beat.

well we are 5-0 and last night we looked like a team again. So now that proved we can be hard to beat. 2 games and 7 put up on us! that's Campbell football. lets go devils i want to see us crush Salem. And for the sake of the players us fans need to cheer or stay home. why are you there to eat and chat with friends or give the kids a extra push . I would love to hear the chant CAAAAMMPPBEELLLL. Or hear we go devls here we go. just pathetic if you ask me. I lived on Palmer ave off of Wilson ave and back in the day you could hear the crowed going nuts. i i pull in and walk through the gates and i can hear a pin drop.

What we saw last night is exactly what we all expected from this team. If they play to their potential, sky's the limit. What impressed me last night was the receivers blocking downfield for their teammates. Lebron, Bledsoe, Rushton, all making key blocks down the field, not just standing around and watching. Keep it up fellas, have to bring it from the opening kickoff against Salem next week!

well i really cant argue with playing jales the whole game...hes running like a man plain and simple. and its gonna be hard to put in some other guys over him...but i can see for a breather. but we have to remember we havent played well in awhile and coach probably just wanted to put a full four quarters together as a confidence builder. this team needs to believe they can win without skevo...i think it took two weeks for them to figure that out. also zetts got creative with some playing calling...even slotting jales out, which i liked to see. defenses will have to prepare for all of our looks.

I know what your saying Soupcity but if you have it use it. why don't they use 7 in Skevos place we all witness what that did for us the first two games. and from what i see the kid can fly and he did not go down easy at all. I'm sure we have not seen this whole offense yet. Zetts is a master mind on offense. even if he does things that might look dumb but sometimes the plays don't work out even if they do in practise. But the offense in the second half was so smooth other then Hughes putting on the ground in the end zone. I don't know how much gas he will have in the tank at the end of the season. he is out there 90% on offense and defense. that will start to show sometime eventually

We look forward to Friday's game in Salem; it should be quite a battle.

    Go Quakers !!
