Division 6 Region 21

  • dhs22p
We are 3 weeks into the season already! The region is looking interesting so far. Thoughts?
  • neohfan
Ok now that we are 7 weeks in. This region overall seems to be down but once again very competitive. Looks like Mogadore will host a game week 11. Wynford wins Friday and they will also. Western Reserve is looking strong also. Dalton I thiink if they get healthy could be a dangerous team. St. Paul sitting at 9 right now will be dangerous as a lower seed if they get in..Should be interesting next three weeks.
  • neohfan
Now that week 8 is over (well almost over) this region could get interesting. If McDonald can some how beat WR they will be back in the hunt for a playoff spot. Hopewell losing really hurts them. Thought I had things figured out going into this week..now have to refigure

I got it refigured. McDonald has to win both more than likely to make it. As crazy as it sounds Dalton just needs to win out and McDonald lose one and the Dogs will make it.

I did my uneducated figuring as for now I have it like this.

    1. Wynford
    2. Mogadore
    3. Western Reserve
    4. Ledgemont
    5. Buckeye Central
    6. St. Paul
    7. Hopewell
    8. Dalton
    9. McDonald
    10. Monroeville

Last two weeks could be interesting. Always seems like something always happens to throw a curve ball into things.
  • Sonofanump
I can not see Wynford not being #1 if they win out due to having two D4 5-2 left on the schedule.

Monroeville and St. Paul play week 10, that should be win and in, lose and out.
  • riders1
There will be a lot of scoreboard watching for the 5th thru 10th teams as I see a close grouping there of less than a point difference and those teams will need help from the teams they beat earlier so those nonleague wins earlier may payoff with helping points in the next 2 weeks, and the Monroeville/St. Paul loser may still be in if they get help from their opponents.
  • jmog
I also see Mogadore dropping to #2 even at 10-0, their last 2 teams just do not provide hardly any points.

Wynford, if they win, will end up #1.

Man, the teams that finish 1/2/3 aren't going to get a break as perennial powers BHL, NSP, and Dalton look to be finishing 6/7/8.

Hey, at least it will be at home.

Joe Eitel has region like this after 8 weeks

    1. Mogadore 17.2883
    2. Wynford 15.9250
    3. Western Reserve 14.4125
    4. Ledgemont 13.4444
    5. Buckeye Central 9.4375
    6. Dalton 9.3875
    7. St. Paul 9.0750
    8. Hopewell 8.9500
    9. Monroeville 8.8375
    10. McDonald 6.9875

Next two weeks are going to be fun and interesting to watch.

Watched Hopewell Louden lose to Carey 68-14 Friday night, not the H-L of the past 5 years. They can't stop the run (Carey 563 yards rushing) just don't have the athletes. They should beat North Baltimore and Lakota in their last two games and might sneak into the playoffs
  • neohfan
Hopewell plays Tiffin Calvert away on Saturday and North Baltimore at home on the 29th. I agree they should win both and get in. Are they running same system with the new coach?
  • 0311sdp
Pretty much, but they have no running game at all, their o-line is not very good. Defensively can't stop the run. They play with good effort just don't have the talent they've had in the past. Tyree is a pretty good QB with a couple good receivers but with a weak line can be pressured into mistakes (12 INT) don't see this team winning a playoff game no matter who they would play.

    Assuming top 4 in.

Buckeye Central (New Washington) 86% (7W-9.9H-2% 8W-12.1H-92% 9W-14.5H-100%) Should win both games against near .500 opponents.
    St Paul (Norwalk) 80% (6W-10.3H-3% 7W-11.4H-45% 8W-14.5H-100%) Monroeville week 10.
    Hopewell-Loudon (Bascom) 77% (5W-9.7H-2% 6W-11.1H-32% 7W-12.5H-97%) Plays two 2-6 schools.
    Dalton 65% (5W-10.2H-9% 6W-10.9H-25% 7W-11.8H-71%) playing schools with a total of 1 win.
    Monroeville 60% (6W-9.6H-1% 7W-11.5H-43% 8W-14.5H-100%) St. Paul week 10.
Mc Donald 27% (7W-11.2H-20% 8W-14.7H-100%) playing schools with a total of 1 loss.

I can not see the loser of Mvill v St.P in. (Sat night even though at Mville)
McDonald could win out and knock Dalton out.
  • riders1
McDonald wins over Western Reserve 15-13 get about 32 total points , not good for Dalton.

Joe Eitel has region like this after 9 weeks

    1. Mogadore 19.9830
    2. Wynford 19.4944
    3. Western Reserve 15.8167
    4. Ledgemont 14.9040
    5. Buckeye Central 11.6500
    6. Monroeville 10.8000
    7. McDonald 10.6278
    8. St. Paul 10.3000
    9. Dalton 9.9889
    10. Hopewell 9.4000

So week 10 and a lot of scoreboard watching to see who will help who make the final 8 :)
  • dhs22p
Yes there will be scoreboard watching. I got it figured our for the Dogs here are the scenarios:

    Dalton wins +

Basic + Buckeye Central loss + Garaway, Rittman or Timken Win
    Basic + H-L loss
    Basic + McDonald Loss
Basic + Garaway, Rittman or Timken Win + Lakota Win
Basic + Garaway win + Rittman or Timken win

Basic = Tuslaw win, Smithville win,

All we need is 1 of the 5 options. Easier said than done. I would watch out for the Calvert/Hopewell-Loudon game. Calvert beat St. Paul so we'll see if they can beat another good team tonight.
  • riders1
Timken won't beat triway, so scratch that part out :(

    Anything is possible.
  • dhs22p
I know its not likely but I put it in there to cover all the bases.
  • neohfan
From what I was told from a friend who follows ITCL close he said Southern always gives McDonald a tough time so McDonald losing week 10 is possible. There will be alot of texting going on this week. :)
  • riders1
Last 4 games, 3 by 3 or less, 1 by 7 points , didn't remember that MacDonald was 1st in the region last year.
  • dhs22p
    Calvert 21
    Hopewell Loudon 20 per joeeitel

Dog fans all we need is a W!
  • riders1
Joe doesn't show Dalton controls own destiny, so they also will still need help from their opponents or others:)
