LAKESIDE — Danbury got healthy at just the right time.
After having to cancel last week’s game with North Baltimore for a lack of healthy players, the Lakers bounced back in a big way to stop Fostoria St. Wendelin 33-20 at Biro Field Friday night.
Danbury and St. Wendelin are both now 1-1.
Danbury’s Lucas Kennedy ran for touchdowns of 14, 2, 2 and 20 yards and connected for a 29-yard scoring strike with Cory Schenk to lead the Lakers.
Zach Miller scored on runs of 1 and 29 yards and tossed a 47-yard touchdown pass to Elli Hipsher.
