HAMLER — Patrick Henry’s Lucas Rosebrook ran roughshod over Montpelier Friday night as the Patriots derailed the Locomotives 49-7 in a Northwest Ohio Athletic League game Friday night.
It was Patrick Henry’s 15th straight win over Montpelier as the Patriots improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the NWOAL.
Rosebrook rushed for 230 yards on 21 carries and scored on runs of 4, 2 and 9 yards. He now has 440 yards rushing through Patrick Henry’s first three games.
Kasey Spence made his debut at quarterback for the Patriots, after serving a two-game disciplinary suspension. Spence rushed for 41 yards on six carries and was 7 of 10 passing for 149 yards. He scored om a 3-yard run and tossed a 64-yard touchdown pass to Alex Wilhelm.
Calvin Palmer added touchdown runs of 1 and 25 yards for the Patriots, who racked up a 556-97 edge in total yards.
Montpelier picked up just 15 yards on the ground and 72 through the air.
The Locomotives’ lone score came on a 93-yard kickoff return by Joel Hartman in the fourth quarter
