Utica(1-0) @ Granville(0-1)

  • HeathAlum21
Utica came into the season with high expectations of a high powered spread offense led by Jason Hoar. They beat Grandview Heights by a tally of 32-7. Granville didn't bother to attend their game as they were shelled 41-14 by Johnstown. Talented Wide Receivers do not offer much benefit if the offensive line is dominated. Will Utica continue winning or will Granville right the ship?

Granville looked awful in all aspects of the game against Johnstown. The mistakes made by the coaches in special teams was hard to watch. How do you not get your team on the field for kickoff return?

The only bright spot of the night was when the backup QB came in...I don't know who he is, but he can flat out play. The starter used what I call the "chuck and duck" method of passing and seemed afraid to run the ball. The backup kid seemed fearless. I think he had over half their total yards on the final drive of the game.

I also liked the Lilly kid at tailback. He is quick and runs hard.

A backfield with Lilly and the backup QB may be something the coaches will want to look at.

Granville in a nailbiter. Utica has Heath next and should start out 1-2.
