Tuslaw (1-0) @ Dalton (1-0)
-
dhs22pThese rivals meet up again this year. Should be another exciting match up!
-
thePITmanA game of opposites. Tuslaw will be spreading it out and going 4-5 wide while Dalton's vaunted rushing attack will be the main focus. Dalton's defense is athletic and defends the pass well from what I've seen, but that was just a scrimmage. Tuslaw's defense is good up ront. It looks like strength vs strength in this one. Good luck to both teams!
-
dhs22pThe dogs will play their 3rd straight passing team. We will see if the dogs if can handle the pass one more time. The key to the game may be the Dogs ability to throw the ball. If the dogs can pass well they will be tough to stop. Go Dogs!

luckydogI like that we've just faced two teams that run the spread back to back. The Stangs also have a pretty darn good back coming back from a 1000 yard season that we'll need to watch. I like our chances in this one since our D coordinator is very familiar with Tuslaw and our O will be more together.
GO DAWGS!! -

Yes, he was good. But word is that he's been moved to slot/WR. A different kid is their primary RB this year. -
RedRider1'Stangs going with a separate offense and defense unit. How many D-IV teams can say that?
I like Tuslaw in this one. -
riders1Dalton in their home opener, home debut of the new coach, Tuslaw to disappoint the home crowd 27-20
-
THE4RINGZDalton's speed will slow down that spread offense Tuslaw runs but it won't be enough. Fresh legs on both sides of the ball trumps the speed of Dalton. Tuslaw by two touchdowns.
-
27wackodogOh ye of little faith! Tuslaw's sideline doubles Dalton's every year, That's why they are D-IV and we are hanging in at D-VI !( because they don't have a D-VII !) Dogs play both ways every year and that's the way it is. Should be a good old-fashioned slobber-knocker as always1 GO DOGS!!!
-
luckydogIf we can pressure their QB enough he'll make mistakes.
Our speed even without Lint will give their D some trouble......
Dogs by 7
GO BULLDOGS -
dhs22pWell its gameday! Lets Go Bulldogs!

Dalton did not seem to get tired in this game. I was impressed how the composed themselves after kandel got hurt on the opening play leaving them to play a good spread offense minus their top 2 corners. Tuslaw did a nice job defending the option but Dalton got it going with the passing game to the tight end and got Blevins running hard in the I. What really turned this game was getting the Tuslaw Qb (who throws a real nice ball) pressured as well as knocking down some passes - he got happy feet. Dalton also made them one dimensional by completely swallowing the Tuslaw running game. -
27wackodogDogs spotted tuslaw a 14 pt lead in 1st qtr and all those "fresh players" couldn't keep them down. Way to storm back dogs! Sounds like Kandel will be done for the rest of the season, too bad, we can't afford to lose players like that. Just hope he doesn't have any lasting problems and has a full recovery. 'Stangs found are weakness early and took advantage of it till coaches made some adjustments and some other kids stepped up and did a great job shutting them down. D-Miller is a beast! and Blevins is running like a tank on jet fuel! (needs to hang on to the ball towards the end of the game when theyr'e coming after it, wouldv'e had another TD if he had not fumbled. Good win dogs on to timken!

dhs22pOn that Kandel note. It was very cool that he was trying to fire up the team after he was being carted off. He also came back at the end of the game. DMill is a beast no doubt. I like the adjustments that Hackett made as the game went on. And hey we got ourselves a nice kicker. Nailed a 43 yarder and just missed a 50 yarder. Whew I am excited!
