First of all, he was 2-6 passing (that's a ton of passes for Mooney). Second, Mooney has been running the ball for 60 years and I'd say the Cards have been rather successful. -
HeathAlum21Who was actually at the game? Was Mooney impressive or did Pick North disappoint? I have read many items regarding Pick North and expected them either to win/ play well enough to bring the game to the wire.
-
genghis dongWatched it on tv. I think it was a little of both. The thing that shocked me the most was Mooney's line play on both sides of the ball. They rushed for 237 yards, and held PN to just 62 yards on the ground. I think the D held PN to less than 200 total O.

ThinthickbigredI was going to make a prediction yesterday but then the score came out .
Just about as I would have guessed .
Let me guess before reading anything about the game . Mooney ran a total of 10 different plays and two were KO returns and they ran a couple of different punt returns and they passed the ball 2 times , so that leaves 4 running plays . hmmmm they probably ran one reverse just to soften things up a bit when the other team had 13 guys on D and the refs felt sorry for them so didnt call it and they probable ran 2 gap ,3 gap and either 4 or five gap depending on which tackle is better , which makes no dif cause they both are probably in the range of 6ft 3 250 up to 6 ft 5 270 LOL.... -
justcompeteI think bringing up open enrollment in this thread is great. Pickerington has abused that rule more than any school in central Ohio. My son's senior year he played against Pick. North. There was a kid named Boren that played fullback and linebacker. In the playoffs, they played Pick. Central. Guess what, there was a kid named Boren that played fullback and linebacker. Oh yea, there were also 3 kids on the Central team that year that played for North the year before. Kids jump back and forth between those schools every year. It's a joke.

Gotta be from Watkins.
kids don't jump back and forth. you don't know the policies. they changed immediately. -
ThinthickbigredOpen enrollment and good recruiting still isnt coaching. Mooney has 1000 times the tradition of Pickerngton West ,Mooney is the equivelant to USC and Pickerington Central is the equivelant to San Jose state.
-
TiernanWhat happened to the HUGE D-Line & O-Lines from Pick North that were splashed across the sports page last week? Too many Whoppers before the game?

On the Huddle back a couple years ago, I remember saying that Mooney is a lot of years one of the best schools regardless of division.
If North beat them you would probably say, "Good, they are only DIII." It's silly. -
OhioExactly a D1 playoff team should beat D3 school ... regardless if its some powerhouse like mooney :] and in this game they didnt wion and didnt even come close got man handled the whole game it was like they were playing a freshmen team
-
Rocket08Show some Class Ohio
Nothing worse than a bad winner -
Tiernan^^^
"It ain't braggin' if ya did it" ...Lou Holtz / I agree with Ohio -
Rocket08I'm pretty sure that HE didn't do it.
His friends on the team may have, but he didn't
Regardless, Mooney doesn't need that kind of juvenile crap posted on here -

I'm with you. I'm all for rubbing it in if the fans deserve it. I did my fair share of nose rubbing after a few of the Steubenville games...but only because a few of their posters on the other site were the most annoying people in the world. And of course, it's perfectly fine to rub it into the faces of Ursuline fans because...well, they are Ursuline fans.Rocket08;469216 wrote:I'm pretty sure that HE didn't do it.

But to do it to Pickerington North fans who never said anything remotely bad about the Cardinals just isn't needed. -

Do some research thin.
To say that Pick Central is the equal as San Jose State makes you look the fool. -

Classy. I would hope Mooney would score a little more if they played a freshmen team. And like I've stated, I'd take Mooney against a lot of D1 schools. There are some teams out there where division does NOT matter. Mooney, Desales come to mind. -

From your butchering of the language, it appears you never attended high school at all.
