ffkapono1.Monroe Central-Return the best player in the area. What happens if Kinchen gets hurt? 2.Caldwell-Sayre will only get better.Little Snodgrass has something to prove.3.Fort Frye-Big upfront and have the skills guys in Skinner,Spencer Lang,Matt Klinger,Chandler Lang,Alex Herndon,Jordan Anderson, and QB Eddie Watson.Only weakness could be Watson has one career start.Sr Jared Garvin and Jr Riley Dixon could be a couple of the badest lineman in the league. 4.Frontier-Fickeisen is a star.Reid and Burnoni are beastly but they don't have it up front. 5.Shenandoah-Eli will be an elite player in 2 years but not yet. 6.Young and like a year away.7.Trail 1-9.

I drain 3's1. Monroe Central - They should do pretty well running the ball, although i'm not sure how good of a QB Kinchen will make. Also read on another site that Central lost a scrimmage to Bridgeport 1-0. Not really the outcome i'd expect, but I don't really know what Bridgeport has.
2. Caldwell - Sayre is pretty much a dual threat QB. Probably not the fastest one around, but he's able to use his legs and gain some yards. Morris should be a big target at TE. From what I saw they used a duo of Snodgrass and another back who's name I can't remember, but both performed pretty well. I'd like to see the defense improve some.
3. Fort Frye - They've performed well in scrimmages, although i'm not sure how good the competition is. Should have some weapons on offense.
4. Shenandoah - They've got a lot of potential, could be even higher depending on how well Hurst does. Crum is a pretty good back as well.
5. Frontier - With Fick, Tilton, and Burnoni they've got a potent offense. Defense will determine how well this team does.
6. River - Lots of young players got playing time last year. They should be improved from last year, but by how much remains to be seen.
7. Trail - Another tough year for them. Looked like they lacked size on a preview video I saw.
Middle of the pack could pretty much go any way. -
ffkaponoHow did Caldwell look last night and who did they play?
-
I drain 3'sThey beat Meadowbrook. Think the score was 14-6 or something like that. I got their late so I didn't see the whole thing, but they had decent success running the ball against the Colts. Secondary could use a little work. They need to be more decisive. Couple times Meadowbrooks receivers were kinda left out to dry and the Caldwell defenders hesitated either going for the picking or laying a good hit on them.
-
ffkaponoFort Frye has a nice passing game this could be an advantage.
-
barbarianMC also played evenly against Strasburg LAST year in their scrimmage. Do you really think that they were equally matched teams last year? If it's the same site that I saw it explained that Kinchen had no designed runs called, and Hogue only ran 6 times. They threw the ball mostly against Bridgeport and got backups more time at RB. In other words, they treated it like a scrimmage, and not a game. Both teams probably did. And technically, if you keep score it was actually 3-1 MC with the reserves.
Kapono, you can say the same thing about any team in the PVC. You keep saying that about Fort Frye last year with Robinson going down. Every team is radically changed if their best player goes down. Although I think MC won't be as crippled as you think. Their philosophy changes. -
barbarian1. Monroe Central- still the best in the league although the gap is shortenned from last year. I think a couple PVC teams can take them to the wire, and beat them but I'm predicting they go 6-0. If they don't get beat this year in the PVC it could be a long while before they do.
2. Frontier- The best QB in the PVC, but a brutal schedule. If they can survive it with few injuries they should be poised for a playoff game with 6 wins.
3. Caldwell- still think if they have a homerun type of guy they could win the PVC. They do all the things right, and are fundamentally sound and well coached. Maybe that type of guy is on the roster, but I don't know about.
4. Fort Frye- Will compete with Caldwell for the number 2 spot. From what I read from the only Fort Frye source there is, they sound impressive. Weak OOC schedule sets them up with a program changing game against MC in week 5. I doubt MC will be undefeated but FF should.j
5. Shenandoah- Still don't know much about them, but I think they have decent skill players but without the line blocking they are useless.
6. River- Was totally not impressed with what read about their scrimmage against Bishop Donahue. Scrimmages should be taken with a grain of salt, but Donahue is no Wheeling Central. They may still be too young to play much of a factor. Hope they surprise me though.
7. Trail- yeah. -
I drain 3'sHopefully Devol and his coaching staff get the defense where it needs to be. Pretty sure they lost a good bit of their secondary to graduation, so once these players get some experience underneath them they should be alright.
-
ffkaponoI agree with everything.I think Shenandoah is in the pack with the other 3 Frontier,FF,and Caldwell.
-
I drain 3'sFrom what I watched, Shenandoah didn't look to bad. Hurst looks like could be a very good QB. Crum also looks like a good RB, runs hard. They moved the ball well on Morgan both on the ground and in the air. Not sure how good their line is. Morgan got in the backfield a few times, but some of those kids had a pretty big size advantage.
