Week 1 - West Holmes @ Triway
-
thePITmanAny thoughts on this game? Last year Triway led 27-7 going into the 4th quarter @ West Holmes before the Knights scored 21 unanswered points to steal the win 28-27. This year could be another great game.
Good luck, Titans! Keep working hard. -

Go Titans! -
THE4RINGZThe Top Gun will be launched tomorrow night.

thePITmanI'm just glad we're playing the Leatherheads instead of a bunch of little Leatherface clones. Phew! Wow. I just realized that the movie Top Gun is older than I am. But I still love it.
-
THE4RINGZWhat position does Petey the Bulldog paly? I don't see him on my WH depth chart.

RedRider1The state finalist Triway Titans according to the Plain Dealer.

Wow, wow and wow.
And for the record...I'd be laughing just as hard if they picked Orrville. Major city newspapers have no clue about high school sports. -

Awesome! I hope they are right, but Triway's defense better get its stuff together. A little worried about that after hearing the Dalton scrimmage report.RedRider1;462266 wrote:The state finalist Triway Titans according to the Plain Dealer.

Oh yeah Triway 35 - WH 14 -
thePITmanI, too, thought the prediction by the Plain Dealer was far-fetched and rather funny. But if they're right, I'll be one happy camper! Haha!
-
RedRider1It's anyone's region in R14....not out of the question that Triway or Orrville come out of that region.

Our offense will need to get shored up first, though. We have not looked in sync yet this preseason. Hopefully we get a real picture of our offense tomorrow night. -
THE4RINGZI thought our defense has played well. Don't be mislead by any reports from the Dalton scrimmage. We showed some base looks, nothing fancy, made some plays in the backfield, and have good ball pursuit.

Really?? You mean you'll have a better product on the field representin' purple people??
Good luck to both squads in this backyard rivaly...WH leads the series 24-18-1. Injury free game with plenty of slobberknockers!! -
thePITmanI got my football fix in tonight. I'm ready for more tomorrow night. Hopefully we don't throw 6 interceptions like Massillon did against Buchtel. Go Titans!

1486wdgood luck this season Titans!
-
THE4RINGZOh I have waited for this day since early last November. Hope it is worth the wait.
-
thePITmanWell, I'm heading out here in a few minutes. I'll see everyone at the stadium. Go Titans! Let's get the season started on the right foot.
Good luck Titans! Beat the Knights! -
thePITmanWay to go, Titans! Well, our offense looked pretty sharp when the 1st teamers were in, and our defense was dominant! What more can you ask for an opening night victory? We completed 13 passes on only 19 attempts, so it was obvious we slowed down early in the 3rd quarter. No receiver had more than 3 catches for us, and it was nice to see all of them use their HANDS to catch balls all night long. AND I did not see any drops! Our D-line was good as expected, but I was more impressed with our linebackers who were all over the field. Our secondary did not get tested much, but I'm sure we will next week, although Orrville will still try to run it. Eek! Let's shore up our run defense a little bit, and I'll be a little more confident.
But overall, a fun game to watch, and a great way to start the season. Good job Titans!
