DarkonI was wondering if all of us should refrain from using the kid’s names on this forum.
I know when a team’s QB is referred to that most know who we are talking about. I think by using the kid’s name we make it to personal, and after all these are kids.
As a parent I did not mind when my kid's were praised on the forums but when something negative was posted it was tough to see along with his name.
I don't know.
Just a thought.
How do you feel? -
THE4RINGZFor my team I use the players initials that way people who know the team know who I am referring. Outsiders don't and that is the way I want to keep it.

I have a feeling, that the mods here, will not tolerate ANY bashing, of ANY kids, at ANY schools, on this site.
Just a gut feeling, but, I agree with you. -

This, but at least I have no intention to set here and block vague, blanketed criticism because there's a name attached to it. There's a difference between "x had a bad game" and "x blows donkey ***". -
killdeerthat was always the policy on the OP I think, not that I have much nice to say about that place...
however, when it comes to HS teams, I think you talk about the team in general, and the league.
not individuals when they are 17 years old.
when you are professional in athletics; all bets are off. -
fpfpdadchhI agree, dealing with High School athletes, there really is no room for bashing a certain player by name. I think if you are praising a particular player, then a name is cool. College and pro, maybe a different story. They are over 18, especially pro players.
