Box Score: Pickerington North- 7-0-0-0
Westerville South- 0-0-14-6
Pickerington North: Took Starters and Varsity out beginning of 3rd Quarter/ North played JV
Westerville South: Left Varsity on field until middle of 4th Quarter/ South played JV for 5 minutes
Pickerington DOMINATED Westerville in the first half, but Pickerington's JV got waxed once put in against Westerville Varsity. It was a very up-tempo game, and considering Pickerington North plays Youngstown Cardinal Mooney, they seem really prepared. A lot of their coverages were run-based in preparation for Mooney's Power Offense. Hopefully, Mooney doesnt under-estimate Pickerington North because Mooney's passing defense is lacking this season. North has 3 Top 100 Ohio WR's and a few other Top 100 in Ohio on their team. Pickerington will need production out of their quarterback after Flaherty graduated. Olszewski is not bad at all when he as time. Westerville needs to stop the pass better, as North ran a total of 2 run plays. Im assmuming that their coach was prepared for the run as Pickerington had two amazing running backs last year and ran the ball a lot. Pickerington North vs. Cardinal Mooney is in Pickerington and tickets are on sale now, the game will also be on ONN and there was talk of it being on FSN and NBC local. Pickerington and Westerville oth have great seasons ahead and are expected to win their division, which will be a little harder with PHSN playing Pick Central, Lancaster, and Groveport. North looks like the second, if not the strongest team, they look stronger than Coffman are killing them in scrimmage, and stronger than all the Fairfield County Schools. Pickerington North, if they beat Mooney, shows they have to potential to make a deep post season run and meet with an Elder or St. X in the semis. oh.. PN beat St. X last year in scrimmage, so PN has a great shot against St. X. I dont think though they could beat Elder or Colerain.
