    Pit check your PM's.

Thanks for the PM, Ringz. You can PM me your cell # if you want me to forward to you the updates I receive from across our area and league.

Of course. Schedule permitting, I should be attending every Smithville game this year.. If I can't, I'll be receiving updates that I'll pass along to you.

Pit I heard you were in Bucyrus yesterday. Impressions?

I guess the seven on seven originally scheduled for Monday at Wooster has been moved to July 27.

I will post more details as I get them

Check your PM's, Ringz. Yes, I was in Bucyrus for the 7-on-7. I forgot one thing, though: sunscreen. It was a nice 7-on-7 that I thought was well done. Lots of teams on 4 1/2 football fields (nine 7-on-7 fields). It was nice that all but 1 of our 7 games was on the main high school field, so we didn't have to walk around much. We definitely improved as the day went along, which was encouraging. We had a number of targets on offense, and even while Polen was not there. Our defense will come around eventually... just trying to get the young kids adapted, I think. We'll be A-OK!

I got the PM thank you.

Funny thing about the sunscreen my kid (who has a fair complexion to begin with) came home totally fried. He is still bright red this morning.

I was glad they got some exposure to the bigger programs on Saturday. They can continue to build from there.

Got it. Thanks Pit. See you there.

Anyone go to the 7-on-7 tonight, if so how did the Titans look?
  • THE4RINGZ
I was there. Triway had a nice night. Looked good on O. DC hit some deep balls and was very crisp to routes in the flats and short middle. On D Triway looked good, they just need some time working together. Triway's D had a really hard nosed attitude which was good to see. Things got a little chippy and the Titans held their own.

Thanks for the recap, Ringz. Because of the late start (about 25 minutes late), I only got to see our first offensive possession where we scored 2 TD's, then I had to leave. I heard on the night we scored 11 TD's to Madison's 3. Hopefully I'll be able to see more tonight, and hopefully we can perform well against Wooster.

    Keep working hard, Titans!

And welcome to OhioChatter, Ibleedpurple. Glad to have you.

Wooster will be a good test. I will be interested to see how we try to contain Price. I heard from my Wooster sources he has shaved even more time off his 40 this offseason, and he was already faster than lightning.

    Wow. That's fast!

It was a good 7-on-7 at Wooster tonight, IMO. We got to go up against a bigger, faster, more athletic group of kids. They really tested us on both offense and defense. I think we'll be better because of it, though. I'm not sure who "won" since I left a little early, but both teams were pretty even had some nice TD's from what I saw. It's always good to go up against the bigger schools. I'm interested to see how we do against them in our scrimmage with Northwestern in a few weeks. Good luck this season, Wooster!

    Keep working hard, Titans!
  • THE4RINGZ
At the end both teams were given an eighty yard field and ten plays to score. Wooster struck out, Triway scored.

I agree you have to challenge yourself as often as possible to become a better team. With that said Wooster is a primarily a running team. Our D line will be tested in the scrimmage.

Our D backs just need some more reps together and they will gel. Overall a good seven on seven run by the Titans.

Two two-a-days are in the books. Enthusiasm is high even through the weariness.

Some position questions are being answered.

Keep working hard, Titans! Thanks for the update, Ringz.

What starters are back on the defense? Offense? What does the O-line look like? Sounds like they performed well in the 7-on-7s.

Good Luck Titan it sounds like things are going well at camp, I look for Triway to be in the top 3 this year. See you Oct 1st at our place by the way just so you know that will be Homecoming night. (SORRY)

Do you know of any secret parking spots we can utilize when we head down to Midvale?
  • thePITman
IV, what other concession stand specialties do you have? I tried the highly touted sloppy joes the last time I visited, and was very pleased.

Pit.... Try the coney with cheese my favorite, also the cream chicken is well liked or a hamburger off the grill is good also. As for the parking at Midvale, Sorry Ringz no secret spots we lost ( A-LOT ) of parking with the new school and play ground. All I can say is come early and you should be ok. Again GOOD LUCK! this season.

Fairless has the best coney dogs in the PAC.

I love football concession stand food, and have the belly to prove it!

First scrimmage at the end of the week.

Who will I see at NWN Saturday evening ?
  • thePITman
I will be there, but I probably will be getting my fingers ready and breaking in the new partner (at least I have a partner this season!). Who is going to the Waynedale/Tuslaw/West Holmes scrimmage on Friday? I'll be there.
