I have been asking myself this since Brookfield left the AAC..... I know there have been numerous schools who have applied in the last few years to the NAC; LaBrae, Newbury, Conneaut, and Brookfield to just name a few. From what I do understand, there is a Amendment in the NAC's Constitution that stops anymore then 10 schools being members of the conference.... This is the second, maybe even third attempt by Brookfield to join the conference... A school has that much interest, I cannot see why the conference constitution cannot be amended to accept expansion.... It makes sense to me at least, Brookfield being in the local geographical vicinity of the conference..... I really do hope for expansion, add Brookfield, Newbury (who is now an independent) this year, you would have a 2 tier conference, and would have a 7 football teams (8 when Badger decides to start HS Football).... this would really be good for the small schools, I hope it happens...
I think Brookdfield and Newbury would be great picks for the NAC. I was not aware of Newbury being Independent.
