H-L coach Brian Colatruglio to be named H.C. at Tiffin Columbian
-
Leonardo(Now former) Hopewell-Loudon head coach Brian Colatruglio will be named the head coach at Tiffin Columbian High School. Colatruglio addressed his Hopewell-Loudon team today.
-
herdyaTiffin Columbian should be in very good hands. Colatruglio is one heck of a high school football coach!
-
KeithThis is a good choice for the Tornado program.
-
devil1197I called it.
HL will now go back to the middle of the pack. -
not my nameCongrats to Coach Cog. I only wished he would have went back to the school on Madison St.
-
rocket streakCongrats to coach Codge. A little sad that two of the top teams in the MAL last year lost their coaches but that is life in the MAL.
I hear that Chad Long (Columbian DC) is supposedly interested in the HL job. -
devil1197Small schools like the MAL teams will always be vulnerable to their coaches leaving for bigger and better jobs.
Carey hasn't had that problem as they have found good success with Draper and then Worst after trying to go outside of Carey for one season.
Will be interesting to see who HL brings in to try and keep the program on top. -
kritzellHopewell didn't miss a beat after Kidwell left for Fremont Ross. Maybe they'll hire someone from within to keep the current system in place.

I know of at least one current coach that has applied for the job. I've always felt that this is the best way to go especially if you have some experienced assistant coaches.kritzell wrote: Hopewell didn't miss a beat after Kidwell left for Fremont Ross. buckeyefallskritzell and Keith are right. However, I think with any relatively good coach, Hopewell has something in their water to bring up football players.
I wonder if any of the kids will leave HW to go to columbian? -

Or will some of them head back to Fostoria or other schools if HL has a down year or two in the future.buckeyefalls wrote: kritzell and Keith are right. However, I think with any relatively good coach, Hopewell has something in their water to bring up football players.

The Kidwells should get some credit for turning H-L around, H-L was never physical until they came in. Coach Cog improved on what was already becoming a good thing. H-L has had some great athletes the past 5 years or so. All small schools go through talent droughts (example Mohawk), it will be interesting to see if the new coach can keep them on top as a talent drop off looks possible even next year.sniper_8 wrote: I think H-L improved after Kidwell left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dodgy: -
devil1197Heard that HL will possibly hire a coach outside the program with multiple years of HC experience even though that experience may have not resulted in W's for that program. Bad move on HL's part as they should have kept the HC position within the program with coaches that have proven performances at HL.

rocket streakHeard that they didnt even give one of the coaches who has been there through all the success even a second interview.

I know one coach personally and he wasn't given a second shot.rocket streak wrote: Heard that they didnt even give one of the coaches who has been there through all the success even a second interview.
Their interviewing HC's with experience but at losing programs.
Why not stay within the successful program and run with a young coach. -
neohfanI know that Coach Colatruglio is a good coach but how will he do at TC? I know nothing about the program.
